| Hetherington signs players who are decent people. Westerman is an idiot. Unprofessional, LOVES a drinks, hangs round on street corners with his mates Richard Owen and co in their Range Rovers in Ferry Fryston. Source? I've seen it!

| Quote ="Gotcha"That's not true actually. He was a good lad working hard making his way at Cas, then got in with the wrong ones. Not too dissimilar to Zak's path. Made a fool of himself, went to Hull, and has worked hard improving himself. Had two very good years at Hull and fell out with Radford this season, and wants out.
I am not saying Leeds should sign him, but he is far better than what is given credit for on here. Would be a huge improvement on what we have behind Ward and Ablett.'"
coach at cas told me he was brilliant and had the world at his feet "but then met that c*nt chase". his exact words.
I think with a professional club and better players he will thrive

| Balls to it, I'm going to stick my neck out here and say I'd be delighted for us to sign a genuine loose forward who runs, passes and can kick just like Westerman. I hate seeing props play at 13 because coaches don't trust the impact of their 8 & 10 and in Galloway, Cuthbertson, Garbutt and Singleton/Baldwinson were alright for props. If Westerman doesn't come then I can live with JJB, Ablett and Delaney in the second row/sub and Ward at 13. I think it's a bit strange that a few are very critical of Westermans social habits and yet no mention of the sort of behaviour that has resulted in Falloon's charges in Australia.

Agreed. It's a lot of pressure for anyone who takes that shirt but at least a backrower like Ward isn't in the limelight as a halfback is.
Give Sutcliffe Ward's 14 shirt for now and then the 6 shirt when McGuire retires.

That's why I'd go Cuthbertson. Not going to be compared to Sinfield in anyway and has already won over the fans massively, not an academy product with a potential +10 year career ahead at Leeds. Sutcliffe definitely has Sinfield comparisons and Ward wasn't he labelled "the next Kev" when coming through.
Nowadays though players are precious towards keeping a number because of their Twitter handles.

| G'day new to this posting game but reckon Westerman has plenty of talent as a ball player. He had a nightmare in the cup game this year at hull, however looked to me like a man trying too hard to make an impression. Would provide another pivot and in a better side have no pressure to overplay. I think could prove a good addition. At the home super 8 game v saints jjjb said he was trying to convince uncle gary he had 30 more games in him.

| Should clarify Westerman had a nightmare in the cup with ball in hand but effort was clear to see and it was a grim, wet night. He was trying hard to impress. Luke gale has been with his dad at last 2 games v saints in the corporate bit having a meal, mate of McGuire. If we went for daz Clark as well it could be invasion of the cas lads. Burrow might need a new song

| What I didn't realise is that Westerman is still only 25. He's hitting what should be his peak years as a second-rower. There's definitely a good player in there, if someone can get it out on a regular basis.

| The thing is I'd always back a player to improve as a player and a professional at Leeds from what he was at Hull.

| Still think the club could bring in two, maybe three players. Falloon, Westerman and L Burgess I would be very happy with.

| Canberra have today signed a rumoured Leeds target Adam Clydsdale from Newcastle Knights, does this mean Leeds might be in for Josh Hodgson? There other hooker is Kurt Baptiste, surely they are not keeping all three? I feel the Westerman signing may be a replacement for JJB who I think Leeds will cut and look after him with an early payoff. Just can't see Leeds waiting until half way through next season to get a dozen games out of him before he retires. I always remember JJB lifting the challenge cup in his suit and thinking he won't be back playing again next year. f Leeds sign Westerman, I think we will sign an hooker and leave it at that with Breierley going out on loan next year to Leigh or some were in the championship if the rumour is correct we have already signed him for next year. I think Breirley would be a project signing,

Josh Hodgson has been a huge hit at Canberra so its doubtful he will be on his way unless he wants a move back to SL himself but i can't see it.

| Ditto. Hodgson has gone from being a dubious third choice hooker for England to a cracking attacking hooker in the NRL, who is actually unlucky he plays for such a poor team. I'd be surprised if he wasn't enjoying himself enormously.
I haven't seen a lot of Westerman for Hull, but when he played here for England he was miles ahead of the other backrowers for England. Hardaker's issues aside, I don't recall Leeds signing many players who've been a big problem off the field for some time, so I'd trust GH's judgement if he believed Westerman could fit in at the club.
Falloon was bog average in a dreadful NRL side with a pretty major off-field problem across the squad. I'd say he was a bigger risk than Westerman, on both ability and attitude.

| Really? Beau Falloon? Sounds like Jack Sparrow's slightly camp first mate. Silk ruffles and thigh length leather boots with a belt buckle the size of a tea tray and a floppy hat sporting a giant feather.
Still, just a name I suppose.

He can go by any name he wants. He looks a very good Hooker.

Maybe they said that about Mark Minichiello and Brett Delaney, and they haven't done so bad.I can't remember Brett pulling up trees before he joined us.I'm willing to trust GH's judgement,if it comes off, hope he is more of a Wayne Collins rather than a Paul Bell.

| The scene is the headingley boardroom, 2016 recruitment meeting,October 12th 2015. Uncle gary "well brian the good news is we have 2 potential overseas options for hooker that fit in with my moth infested salary cap wallet" Brian Mcd " fabulous gary pray tell me their names I am agog with anticipation, are they akin to Daniel buderus." Uncle gary " we'll we have feau balloon or glen buttkiss" . Brian Mcd " have you still got robbie ward's phone number?"

| Beau Falloon was the Titans player of the year in 2014 after having a great year. Obviously 2015 has been a disrupted season, missing most of it through suspension (due to the drugs trial) and then a couple of minor injuries. The reason they're letting him go is because they've trying to clear salary cap space to rebuild after putting all their eggs in the Cherry-Evans basket that went wrong an they've got young Kieran Mossely (who is seen as a star of the future), plus a couple of other experienced back-up hookers in Nathan Friend and Matt Srama.
They're certainly not letting him go because he ain't good enough. Granted, he's not a superstar, but neither was Paul Aiton and look at the impact he has had on how we played this year. Falloon is a better all round player than Aiton. If we sign Falloon, I'll be having a punt on him for MoS next year.

| Cheers super ted. Hope you are right. All I know is 4 mins on YouTube where looks to have good pace which will help our attack. Just love his name. If he is as good or better than Aiton it will be great news because we really miss him. You need a tackling hooker. Burrow is a great player but trying to hide a hooker for most of the game in defence is a real drawback and one big reason some of the other forwards like Ablett, jp etc have got worn down.

| Beau Falloon seems to be the likely replacement for Aiton and maybe we may have got a very good player due to his unfortunate circumstances down under
I would have liked Josh Hodgson as my 9 for next season above all othe 9's mentioned but he looks destined for a great NRL career

| Falloon was cack this year. The Titans aren't trying to make space on the cap - they've got oodles of space because DCE isn't joining them. They have been a poor side for a number of years, and once Searle left the club to let it's been run by people who know what they're doing. They've looked at the squad and realised there are far too many garbage players and a very bad culture amongst the squad. Hence the clearout.
Falloon would probably do a good job in SL, but TBH he's the sort of overseas player that shouldn't be getting a gig in SL.
