Oh right. When did that change. I remember sinny and connolly walking around very glumly with it on the pitch

not surprising when you consider who has the voting rights.

| Very close, shame two player's can't share it. As well as organising constantly McGuire's defensive effort was also magnificent. Also, how tough is he? He took some big hits carrying the ball and his ribs look a mess but you would not have noticed by the way he played on.
Hall's tries were amazing and the work rate he put in also made him a deserved winner.

IIRC 2 saints players did a few years back, 2007 or 2008. Could be wrong.

Correct, 2007. Wellens and Pryce. I think I read somewhere votes were 14 to hall, 12 to McGuire. So one vote to McGuire would have meant they shared it.
McGuire has shown his quality in organisation all year. Whilst he isn't latching on to every offload and break, his worth to the side has been proven. We look a worse side without him.
Hall's tries were immense and he deserved it on his own IMO.

| Voting closes about 5 minutes before the hooter, I believe. I reckon McGuire would probably have taken it had the vote closed after 80 mins. That said, an equally strong case can be made for either plaer.

| Fantastic display from McGuire, following on from a sublime display in the semi final.
Hard to argue against Hall for Lance Todd but would have been hard to argue against McGuire getting it.

| McGuire had a great game showed that the old adage "Form is temporary ....." and Hall's tries were crucial especially the second one. One player who I thought had a great game but appears to have gone under the radar was JJB - since his return from injury he has been exceptional.

Agreed about JJB.
I admit I had my doubts about him when he came back from injury in the draw away to Hudds and Saints away when he didn't look good enough but since he's returned he's been great.
Whilst we get complaints about our forwards (and I admit the sub options aren't the best) to say it all relies on Peacock does a disservice to what is IMO arguably the best backrow combination in the league of Ablett-Delaney-JJB.

| I have just watched a video of today's presentation on the YEP site . There are a few interviews . In the one with Zak ( 4:25 ) he is introduced as the CCF MOM .
Is there a MOM and a Lance Todd winner ?
