I dont think we need to worry about rushing the incomings yet. We're in a much better place compared to this time last year.

Im sure we have a list of targets and are in the process of making moves. Things can move quite quickly and we could have the incomings sorted in no time.

Obviously we need to add more and we may lose a couple but we could happily go into the first game with -

Summerville Rutter Gnonto

Which is a million times better than the start of last season.

Yeah agree mate, not said we need to rush, but ideally I'd like a couple coming over next 2 weeks in so they can have as much pre season with the team as possible, not always doable I appreciate, but yes no need to panic.

Right Back is obviously a massive priority now (isn't it always over last couple of years).. I believe they are looking at a 10 and the midfield now short with Gray going. Interesting to see if Wober comes back.. gives us left back cover and centre back cover. Depends on his attitude.

No way Summerville stays IMO. I'm also pretty certain Gnonto will leave too. But I'd be promising him Summerville's position on the left to try and get him to stay.

RB and defensive reinforcements should be the priority. I'd also be looking at a new 9. Although, I want Joseph be given the first chance in that position in pre season

Unless anyone comes in with silly silly money Summerville is likely to stay from what G Smyth is saying, same for Gnonto.

I think if we get offered 35m+ for Summerville, we'll take it. I'll be shocked if he's here by the time the season starts.

I think it would have to be stupid money

The thing is, we don't need the money now. We then need to consider can we replace his 20 goals and numerous assists... it's no good with the money in the bank if we can't replace him like for like and weaken the team.. any new signing is always a gamble.. need to be very careful.

I`m not so sure Summerville wants to stay as I think he thinks he could do better.
I`d rather take 40+ million for a player who wants to go than keep someone against his wishes.
It is only speculation on my part I know just a gut feeling I suppose.

Those goals and assists could be replaced from within. Gnonto and James both showing last season they can score and assist, but they were barely on the field at the same time. If they were the starting wingers they could potentially come up with those numbers together. Also get Piroe or another striker firing, and a few more goals from midfield.

I suppose if a team like PSG come in for him and he can increase his salary plus gets to play in Europe you wouldn`t blame him similar to Gray at Spurs.
Rumour that Meslier might leave yet and I`m not convinced we have a decent backup in our squad.
Rodak at Fulham would be a great acquisition.
I also think we need to get Roberts from Burnley.

Good. He stays then. He's worth in that region imo. Gray was, Olly Watkins was... Summerville 20 goals and champ player of the season at only 21... easily worth £30-40m.

I know there`s a few weeks to go yet.
I get the fact we need to ship out players we don`t need and I get it we need to establish if the likes of Gnonto, Summerville and Rutter are staying/leaving and that will determine who we go after.
But I do wish we could bring in one or two decent signings to calm the nerves.
We need to hit the ground running this year and hopefully have some idea what we are going to look like before the season kicks off and not towards the end of the window which almost seems the done thing.

Yeah agree mate. i'd like to see some incomings shortly. they need a good pre season ideally. I know it's tricky and championship recruitment can start with Prem League snowball effect first.. need to get some positivity going

Yes for sure.
Whilst the season isn`t won in August it can go a long way to determining confidence and belief.
I`ve heard some foreign clubs are interested in Bamford at 10 million.
I would like us to sign Moore from Bournemouth even on loan and get in Roberts.
The Welsh Whites would have a decent 5 a side team!

Personally, I don't think Roberts is all that. I'd prefer van Ewijk from Coventry.

Interesting, Graham Smyth on his podcast this morning saying he's not aware of it being immanent, far from it, but he does admit the club are not giving anything away, he expects Parker to weigh the squad up first before letting Roberts go. Personally i think Roberts is a great fit for Leeds. He was one of the best RB's in the champ when Burnley got promoted a couple of seasons back, he came to leeds undercooked last year and got an injury, but i thought he looked very handy when fit. He also links well with James, Rodon in particular with being in Wales first 11, and then also Ampadu.

Smyth expects Leeds to bring in at least a couple in next two weeks though, he thinks Farke will be chomping at the bit to get players in ahead of Germany tour. Thinks we need 5 or 6 does Graham.
