300k is fanciful, he's been extremely poor this year and has a record of on and off-field disciplinary issues.
Added to the fact it's not a good time of year as most clubs will be at or close yo the salary cap, Leeds will be lucky to offload him at all.

I know for a fact he was days from being sacked last season. The only reason he wasn't was that GH didn't want a rival taking him on a free.

As it happens, he turned it round and ended the season really well.

Hardaker should choose wisely though, he should go to a team that actually needs him or could end up not getting a fair crack like Burgess at the Roosters

If there are genuinely personal reasons for him to go to aus, it surely can't benefit him to stay longer than he has to? And if this is the case, do we i) not play him when fit as his hearts not in it, or ii) play him and hope he plays well so his value doesn't drop?

£300k is only the asking price remember. If an NRL club are interested, they would probably pay £100-£200k fee, then recoup some of this by paying slightly less in wages, over a few years, than if he were a free agent.

Yeah I'm sure they will all be queuing up. Not every day you get to pick up a player from the bottom placed Super League team. Whatever way you look at it, £300k would be a gamble for any team, never mind an NRL side.
