If you read what I posted I did not say there has to be a reason given. I said I would be interested to learn the reasons why three players are asking for a release from their contracts at the same time. Now in Baldwinson's case it is understandable if he feels his way is blocked by other players or his face doesn't fit and he doesn't see much chance of breaking into the team. It would be equally understandable if it were for serious health or family reasons otherwise I would say there has to be some kind of dispute between player and club that would make a player want a release.

In passing-on the story of the two additional players implies they have to be senior ones to have any chance of being described as massively shocking to the whole of SL and this tit-bit also rather implies criticism of the coach/club which if not any fault of coach or club should be stated.

I implied nothing of the sort, hence why I said do not assume. And just to be clear, I have also neither said a shock to anything. Although, unless the full details are released, which I very much doubt they would be, then I am sure other teams supporters will very surprised.

The reaction to immediately defend the club always brings out unnecessary comments from some, and hence bitchiness and arguments. The club have been at fault with a lot of things, but this situation is not of their doing, and they are trying to do the right thing. Take it as that.

Without naming names, could those of you "in the know" via first, second or third party information please confirm if the players wanting away from the club are still being selected to play for the club?

And are they currently in the 1-13?

I've also heard from a reliable source we're signing Hayne on a 1 and a half year deal. Swap deal with Wigan as well - Zak for Tomkins who is going to play in the halves. Hearing Watkins for Clark could be on the cards too.

If any of those players above are still being selected, then those responsible for those selections and anyone else applying pressure on those responsible for those selections also need to consider their futures elsewhere.

Agree wholeheartedly with Mr Eve, we should only want players here who want to play for the club as a bare minimum, if possible it should go beyond that, it's what our success has been built upon.

Guys, bear in mind that this is the bloke who said we were signing Westerman, Clark and Burgess. Then said Westerman joined Wire because he needed Clark to chauffeur him to Warrington.

I think its sad that the players in question feel the need to move on just as things are at their lowest.
Baldwinson i can fully understand he's not been given a fair crack imo but the other 2 id expect more loyalty from.
Either way changes are needed on & off the pitch in terms of how many that's down to GH.

20th May - Historic day for the club as it was 55 years ago today at Odsal that Leeds lifted the Championship Trophy for the first time in their history - and again 44 years ago today that they lifted it for the third time.

I agree, but as far as i'm concerned any player who has said they want away and if true shouldn't even pull on the Leeds jumper from the moment they spoke out. They should be made to train on their own or with the kids and humbled until they are taken off our hands. I wouldn't want anyone playing for Leeds who didn't have their heart in it, and that includes anyone, Bye bye and all the best.

Before I started a mass exodus by throwing unhappy players overboard, I want to know why they were unsettled in the first place. If they've lost heart for the fight that's one thing but if there is serious and widespread unrest for other reason(s) that might be different. But for now its all rumours.

I'm not as black and white about team selection. Quality players are not easy to come by, if they are not producing their best then IMO a better strategy is to fix that using management and coaching. Players (and employees) have a right, if not an obligation, to bring up things that are creating difficulties for them and contributing to underperformance. If you are not particularly articulate, or are not expecting a positive response to criticism asking to leave might be simply a poor way of asking for help.
A poor working environment will usually lead to poor performance and unsettled workers (and I'm not talking about a bit of flooding etc. - it's all about people and relationships).
However, if someone hands their notice in (or sporting equivalent) you either try and convince them they are making a mistake, accept they are leaving and make them work out their notice (generally very hit and miss - usually miss), or say "thanks, leave immediately".
