He's hardly gash. Can play anywhere in the backline and can fill in at 9. He's a decent utility player.

For the record I'd say he was more than half decent. He is first choice fullback ahead of Roberts and Richards (both of whom would walk in as fullback at most SL teams and, in Amos' case, already has in more than 1 NRL side!) He was leading the way in try assists and was, arguably, our stand out player in the first few rounds prior to his injury. Defensively sound, good pace, offers a half-back's creativity from fullback (he played there at Junior level for the Aussies) and as brave as they come. On top of that he's a great club man. Having seen pretty much all the fullbacks either live or on Sky (both in most cases) I can safely say, up to now, he's easily been the best in SL so far this season in only his 2nd season as a regular in the position.

Despite all that's been said about the title not being won until October, on the basis of the weekend's games so far, Wigan have been the most impressive side in terms of improvement over last year.
They will be very strong title contenders come play-off time & we need to up our game considerably if we are to be champions again.
McGuire has instigated a massive improvement in what is basically the same team that Noble had.
As expected Warrington under Smith have also become a better side, as I think we all thought they would be.

That said, I still have nagging doubts. McGuire has flogged them to get them into shape. How will they hold up in a few months time?

One of my other thoughts on today's game was do Saints arrange it so that all the ugliest women in the ground sit or stand at the front in full view of the TV cameras?

Wigan look certs for a grand final appearence, barring a collapse in consistency.

They've made the eliminator the past 3 seasons despite being inconsistent in the regular season, so you have to think under the new coach they'll go one step further.

It's going to be tough for us to claw our way back into contention now, and if we do it'll be tough for us to get that other grand final place alongside wigan (whom will surley make it?).

I understand that for the crowd shots at Knowsley Road they use George A Romero as director of photography.

Can't believe how many prophets we have on board at the moment. There is just over a quarter of the season gone, there will be a lot more twists & turns, suspensions, injuries, loss of form, teams game plan sussed out and like G1 metioned possible burn outs, not to mention the up coming cup distractions. There is a long way to go yet.

Actually though, history shows that in fact aren't that many ''twists and turns'' from this point on. Weeren't there some stats posted which showed finishing positions in previous season don't really alter much from what they are now to the end of the season?

For all of those who are wetting themselves at the supposed demise of this Leeds team i urge you to take a look at the Blue Square Premier. A team, Oxford, were around 15 points clear about half way through the season. Unfortunately for Oxford titles aren't awarded till the end of May. As the business end of the season comes about they have shot their load and are now down to 3rd and 8 points of top. My point is just because a team is flying early in the season it doesn't mean a thing when push comes to shove. I still have full confidence that come October Leeds will be in the playoffs and will be the team nobody wants to play.

But will the Leeds faithful remain watching a Bradford mark III, (mark II was Wigan under Noble).
