totally agree. a workhorse. might not be spectacular but he never stops in attack or defence

Over the last couple of years we've really struggled to handle any adversity and usually crumble, so despite today not being our best performance, it was really pleasing to see us tough it out. All the forwards played well. Keenan worked really hard, and Gannon and Holroyd are getting better by the day.

I thought our scrambling defence was excellent the fitness paying off

Havnt seen the game yet, stats on SL website have Cooper Jenkins at 12 hit ups/48 meters/4 meters per carry....Am i right in thinking those stats must be wrong?

Seen him a few times in the flesh now and I keep noticing how hard he hits in the tackle. Don't think that comes across on the box as much. Also really like Jenkins. He has really sound technique and great leg drive. Could be a really good one. All in all I'd say I'm as pleased today as I was dissapointed last week. That felt like the first authentic Arthur performance. Let’s hope we can back it up next week.

Much better than last week overall. On the positives, Palsia grafted hard as did McDonnell who went very well today. Both Jenkins and Holroyd good. Gannon showing bits of class. In the backs , Lumb did really well under the high ball and with ball in hand. Lost Nene a couple of times but McDonald ran hard. Key to me was Jake Connor , some touches of real class in his passing and kicking. On the negative side for me, we still looked very limited on attack , Connor aside. Someone said about 4 tackle and 5 tackle plays are Normally just 1 man drives. Early In second half v 12 men, we started a set on our 40. We did 5 one man runs and then Frawley dummied and ran on the last tackle. Bar Sneyd, Watkins and McDonald I thought they looked pretty average. I think a top team would have stuck 50 plus on them today but I am grumpy, which is entirely age appropriate. On Bentley, he made 4 errors in first 30 minutes but was also limping around and I was surprised he stayed on. But credit to his guts , he kept going and got a real comedy try which he grafted for. On a wider point , our squad looks very short on depth. Hope we don’t get bitten by it early but I suspect we will at some Point.

It's not surprising our attack looked clunky when Croft and Smith were missing for most of the game and Frawley was also carrying a knock to his hand.

Every time I've seen Lumb play he's impressed me.Hes safe under the high ball and as good ballance and pace .His main position is full back and if needed there should be a head of Edgell..

Very pleasing debut by Jenkins.Looked strong in the carry and defence .

Lumb is a really good prospect, he's got the frame to add plenty of size too. He reminds me a bit of a young Zak Hardaker.

One poor performance followed by a good performance. Bit too early to judge all the players but some promising signs. The difference between Connor’s kicking game in attack and Frawley’s is like night and day. We look much more potent with Connor pulling the strings. Seem’s to be lots of discussion about the new props, I thought they were okay. Paleasia not a world beater from what I’ve seen over two games and gets pushed back after contact on a few occasions. He won’t make massive metres on individual carries but if he plays long stints will make the metres that way. Same with Jenkins, not expecting him to make a 10 metre carry off our line when we’re under the pump but looks durable enough. Still think we need a real impact prop to scatter defences or give us a big drive off our own line. Pleased for Lumb, seems a real levelheaded lad with plenty of guts and potential. Gannon looked like he’d bulked up nicely and used it to good effect. All in all a nice tonic after the Wakey debacle.

First 15/20 minutes a bit iffy, after that an improvement on last week. Conner and Croft linking well, then as seems to be the norm we suffer the Croft injury. Thought we overcame that pretty well, second half more time than not we were well structured as a team. To concede only one try away from home is excellent. The Croft head shot is a red card all day, the duty of care is with the defender.

How long was Lisone on for?
