You should look on the 2nd thread posted by TVOC above then. I have no problem with supporters bragging about there team doing well, but that was not the issue here, it was another poster trying to play this down and then knitting fog to try and turn it around, even with all the proof posted, rather than just saying ok you got me. He just ended up going around in circles.

i dont think this game will to be honest. I would have liked a full strength team from leeds and although some key players are back, will they be match fit/sharp. I think tonight is a lose/lose game for us. If we lose the usual banter will start mocking our good start to the season stating we cant beat the top sides...if we win then it will be a victory against an injury ridden, rusty leeds side. i think the easter period as whole will show what we have achieved and whether we are contenders or not. If we're top of the pile after next weekend i think we need to be taken seriously as contenders but to be honest i have sneaky feeling this might actually be the year of the wolf.

Wow at last someone with reason. You are contenders, you look good early doors and that sort of early season feel good factor can go a long way. Still not sure on the Wolves TBH as I get the feeling they still feel they can be beat. If this wigan side are the favourites for the title this league must be the worst since the SL era.

Leeds have got their third team out and are dominating this so called champion side at their own ground. If a full strength Leeds side meet this Wigan side at OT in October We will be 4 time champs no question.

By the way congrats Wigan your game plan was spot on tonight, keep taking it to us in the middle then when the time is right strike out wide. Spot on tactics for me.

I just think when it comes to the last 2 months of the season, we are going to be the team to beat.

1st place has to win 2 games to get to old trafford.

8th place has to win 3. So theres not really as much advantage as there was before.

Last years 8th place catalan dragons, went away to wakefield in their first game, a place you'd feel confident of winning with a full team in a playoff situation.

We're in a bad patch at the moment, but we'll work our way up the table, slowly but surely. I honestly think we could take out the title from anywhere in the playoffs. If we hadn't had the injuries and WCC we'd be top 2.

Wigan were on their own middin with nobody missing from their 1st choice 17 (and I include Phelps as a nobody). Wigan are the form team and our form is terrible.

Project forward three months with our 8 players back, that game at Headingley and us in a run of form.

Should be interesting. Great result for4 Wigan tonight (and a deserved result) but they are far from being crowned champions yet.,

Wigan are also stacking up the home games at the moment.

Phelps has been one of our best players both last season and the start of this, we also have Harrison Hansen out. Not sure if you realized, but Sam Tomkins (arguably our key player) only played 40 mins as did Andy Coley.

You also had Fielden out there and two hookers far from fully fit.

Most Leeds fans will be reasonably satisfied with a gutsy effort and avoiding a shallacking but Wigan had some issues as well.

For the record we had Hansen missing too and Phelps has been a standout player when fit this season.

This is the problem with your posts. You state an opinion and then go on to post as if it's fact. The only thing we know for certain is that either team is capable of winning any game between us this season. Given that, even at full strength and against a considerably less potent Wigan side, you have struggled to beat us at our place in recent seasons and you are now 8 points off the pace, and also given that are there is a strong possiblilty that, should you meet us in the playoffs, it will be at the DW, are you really so confident that you will "laugh last" given that scenario?

Be happy that a seriously depleted team did you proud last night and also gave good indication that you may be returning to some form, but also acknowledge that there are more teams in this league than Leeds. I can only conclude that you have only been watching Leeds during the good times as anyone who has seen both sides of the coin is far more realistic than to give away so much sig material this early in the season. I get embarrassed when fans from our club come out with statements like the above. I'm assuming your fellow Leeds fans feel much the same about your posts. Do yourself a favour and learn some humility. If you do "laugh last" it's because you will have deserved it. No more, no less! It most certainly isn't a given.

Take it as a compliment. You beat us easy and we're pleased with how we went. If you keep this up and go on to be crowned champions you'll get even more attention like this. Several teams this year have celebrated like they have won a cup final after beating us in the league rounds. That's what happens when you're successful.
