Lilley really grew into the game and showed what he could do when he got his hands more on the ball 2nd half. Walker dealt with everything nicely but surprised Saints didn't get any of their big forwards to smash into him.

Important to win that to keep Saints away in the league table. Guaranteed to be above both them and Wigan now by the split and they're looking like being a few points off the top 4 by the split with more away games than home and as mention pre match Saints have a woeful away record. Looking more likely that we'll be the only one of the 'experienced' sides in the playoffs.

Someone on the VT has said Matty Smith has had to go to the hospital with a badly torn eyelid. Ouch! Hope he'll be ok, don't like to see guys suffer bad injuries especially something like that that could have an serious impact on his vision.

It doesn't look good for Sutcliffe, Hall, or Handley. We could really be down to the bare bones next week.

Just to add to everyone else's comments, also very impressed by walker. I thought he looked a lot more comfortable in attack than Golding.

I have to several people. It wouldn't be fair publically on here, not to Jack. He can't agree anything with another club until end of August anyway, so Leeds have time to right a wrong, but he has four offers, and I think another one earlier this week.

I saw Jack Walker for the first time a couple of weeks ago & said this boy is class & a star of the future. Had the pleasure of watching him again tonight - looked superb. Defence soild - took every high ball & posed more attacking threats in one game that Ash has all season.
We must him sign onto a long term contract now.
Thought Moon was excellent tonight , also good efforts from Ward, Singleton & Mullaly.
As usual , our coach can`t count to 17 - brainless , and our line speed in defence was very poor - - you cannot allow teams to run at you , as we did tonight - better teams will murder us.

Very good gutsy win, looked out on their feet at times against a saints side who looked more energised. Great credit to walker, took the high ball with great aplomb and is a gifted balanced runner -agree with all sign him up.

Moon is showing more creative half back skills putting players in gaps near the line. Lilley did better and better as game wore on and hail the vegan giant and the all powerful headband of doom.

We had tons more possession than saints yet only won by 2 pts. And while that's a relief it illustrates a pretty threadbare attacking repertoire.

Thought Child reffed it fairly well, barring wilkin's binning.

Looking at the stats, Abletts looks very poor.

Saints metres per carry is very high also, didn't feel like that.

They made metres far to easily coming away from their own line. Our line speed was none existent at times. I thought we still looked clueless on attack but completed our sets and Lilley brought a much improved kicking game. I would give him another few games, ideally alongside Moon, but expect that McGuire's return coupled with Sutcliffes injury will mean that Moon returns to the centre. Walker looks class. Not sure on the rules regarding signing players at that age but if he was to leave it could turn out to be one of the biggest mistakes the club have made. Certainly in the SL era.

Hetherington wont be held to ransom but I cant see him allowing Walker to leave. Hes an outstanding talent. Really exciting for the future but hes still a kid.

It wasnt perfect last night but we showed some guts to win it. Thought Ward was strong, Moon was classy as always, Mullally doesnt get long enough most weeks but gave us real impact and Lilley had some really good moments.

Were not a good team but we are 2nd and that will do for me.

Wrt to Walker I suppose it's how many brown paper bags Warrington throw at him. For all their capturing of good young players they still lack making them important first team players. Patton has come through but Brown was brought in and preferred when fit. Their response to this season will probably be to throw money around buying experienced players and binning the younger academy guys they have in their squad.

I thought that was a good game to watch. Far better control of the ball than last week which meant we could build pressure. We look very disorganised though, and pretty much clueless in attack on opposition red zone, just side to side hoping someone will find a bit of magic and get through...thankfully we had Moon to create that on the night who i thought was superb. also showed the value of having a player with a top notch short kicking game, and Lilley provided that last night, his kicks were crucial to repeat sets that enabled us to break Saints down.

With the injuries, although i prefer Moon at Centre, i would keep him in the halves with Lilley and move Ablett to centre we have enough back row cover and he is solid there. And finally, if GH has any sense at all he will processing a long term deal right now for Walker and getting it pushed through ASAP no excuse to let this lad slip through our fingers who is clearly going to be a star in SL.

Personally, think he has shown enough raw talent for GH to break usual protocol and give him a lucrative long term deal despite his tender years.

I agree with the post from earlier around Saints seeming to make yards really easily coming away from there line. I thought Saints forwards just looked so much bigger than ours, and if they had a better attack I think we could have struggled to win the game.

On the plus side though as so many have mentioned Jack Walker looks an absolute star in the making. The kids just oozes class.

The club cannot allow Jack to move elsewhere.He is certainly a special talent and is wanted by numerous SL clubs.

The thing is that going rate probably went up. Really had Leeds just offered a decent contract in the first place, I would doubt there would be an issue. But on the other side, it isn't just money with these players. I know fans like to think it is as black & white as that, but it isn't.

People are obsessed with Warrington and make rumours to suit. Warrington have not made Jack the biggest offer in terms of money, but I doubt money alone will influence his signature.
