just read that another member of the 1961 championship winning team has passed away.Denis Goodwin,just a few weeks after Brian Shaw.
RIP Dennis Goodwin.
I wonder how many are still with us?

RIP Dennis
Big man in the 2nd row for Leeds who used his experience as a former centre with good hands to make a break or half break. It was his break and great pass that set up our first try, by Jack Fairbanks, in our first Championship victory at Odsal in 1961.
Sad that now Dennis, Brian Shaw, Colin Evans and coach Dia Prosser will not be there for the 50th anniversary

I grew up in York and Dennis was a family friend - I celebrated my 18th birthday in his pub. He was a true gent and I'd like to congratulate your club on such a fitting tribute on their website.
