Many of us cas fans believe we could be in for an exciting season with finishing in the top 8. In 2009 we had a decent start which helped us to reach play-offs and this season I believe we need a strong start to get their again.

Having just looked at our first 10 games (excluding Wigan away as it may be moved towards end of year) I think we could have a very good start. We play wacky twice, Catalan home, crusaders home, Salford home, hudds home, hull kr home, quins away, fc away, bulls away.

Realistically I think we should aim for 7 if not 8 wins here. I know it's asking alot but if we are to be a good team we need to win these games. Especially home games.

What do you all think?

Picking games is a bit daft we should go all out to win every game , and i think we are good enough this year. I may be alone in this but I feel letting westy go was the best decision this year for the club.

I wonna see us win the first 5.

get real if we win half those games we will be doing well,if you win half your games over the season you should have enough points to get into the play-offs.

we will win some games we didnt expect to win and lose some that we think we should win thats just how sport goes,looking at out history under matterson suggests we play our best rugby in the warmer weather so to expect us to be 5/5 come march is asking a bit much.

Not a chance. We don't play Leeds, Wigan, wire or saints in first 10 games so we need a good start. I think we need at least 5 wins here. Anymore is a bonus. Any less will be a struggle because we have the bigger teams still to come twice.

I suppose i could of been negative and said we'll only win 1/5 in our first 5 games.
Unfortunatly most cas fans have a negative head on. I'd like to think with all the possitive news in the past 2/3 weeks it will fire up the players and TM.

So i take it it's as you are and another mid table finish like the other couple of seasons.

im not been negative i actually think weve got a chance of finishing top 6 but a play off spot should be attainable.im a realist but i also want us to do well, we have a big year ahead both on and off the field and the talk coming from inside the club is that its a different place with a much more pro attitude amongst the players and staff.

a good start will help but it wouldnt be the end of the world and if we are to be a top 6-8 side we need to start and see wins against the top 4 sides rather than just looking to beat the teams at the bottom, i still think we will need time to gel has we have had a big turnaround in players and this might meen a slow start to the season.

i say id be happy winning half our games and you say not a chance but then go on to say we need 5-10 wins,im not the brightest at maths but isnt 5 half of 10.

I read it wrong. I thought you meant winning 5 from first 10 is asking too much.

Games 11 to 20 are much tougher that's why I think we need a good start if we are to get play-offs.

if you win 6/7 out of first 10 uv got off to a really good start but even if you win 4/5 youve got of to a good start

Its only natural that every fan will be expecting us to win all the games we should win and a few of the games we shouldn't but it doesn't take Einstein to realise that can't happen. It's inevitable we'll lose some of the games that before the season starts we would expect to win but the same reasoning that makes that inevitable also allows us to win some games that we wouldn't expect to win.

I'd settle for winning 75% of the games we should win so out of the first 10 games (excluding Wigan away cos that's postponed) I'm targetting 6 wins ie. 75% of 8 (Bradford & Hull away are games I wouldn't class as ones we should win).

Bradford don't have a great team again. They haven't really signed any world beaters!

Posted this before season. My games I thought we would lose were bulls and FC. Maybe KR. Predicted correct so far just hope i get it wrong next week. 7 of 10 looks very realistic now. Maybe 8 as I also stated. Hull FC, Salford, Quins and Wakey are all very winnable.
