Hear he may be leaving you at the end of the year??

Apparently he had a job interview on Thursday and if offered the job he'll be taking that and playing amateur for East Hull.

How's he done for you this year??

Think it'd be a shame to see him lost from the pro game but he has a mortgage to pay and from what i'm told his wages at Cas are very poor.

The rest of the squad seem to manage OK?

Started encouragingly, tailed off, temporary resurrgence culminating in truly abysmal display at Leeds (not alone) and resulting ommission from squad for Wigan game. IMO too heavy/rigid for dummy half but not big enough for anywhere else in pack.

Two factors that may have something to do with that- he was forced into stepping into hudsons boots, at his age a very big ask, and also he has been carrying a back injury for alot of the season, and put his hand up to play on (with painkilling injections).

Back injury won't help a dummy half's game, that is for sure.

But he is going to East Hull, so thats a step up.

Doubt wether he'll be going anywhere now ryan hudson as re broken his arm.

And after a good performance he could have secured a deal next season

Can't tell if you're trying to be funny or been serious. Kirk is certainly on the lower end of the pay scale in terms of the squad, £18K a year for a full time SL player isn't exactly great now is it??

I certainly wouldn't give up my day job for that.

I'm sure there are a lot of people who would love to play sport all week and get paid for it.......even if it is "only" £18k!

Yeah and I'd be one of them but then when you wake up and smell the coffee, doing something you've always dreamed of doing doesn't pay the mortgage does it?
