Not exactly a great loss, his positioning in defence is crap, his goal kicking is mediocre, he can't run and passing isn't his strong point...but he's a good finisher.
Thompson will probably play better then what Dixon has most of the season. |

I dont actually think Dixons kicking is that bad, was poor at the start of the season but when you think about the style of rugby we play we score plenty of tries out wide which obviuosly are harder to kick which i think is the main reason people dont think he can kick cos his percentages arent that high. |

I think if Dixon was playing in any other team then most people would agree with what you've put, but he doesn't so they wont.
Not that I think Dixon would get in many, if any, other SL teams, certainly not any top 6 clubs which is where we want to be. He's just average, very very average and I'd like to think we were aiming higher. |

Only gets the nod because of his goal kicking. IMO both Joe & Chubbs are better kickers. Plus if anyone gets on the inside of Dixon he never catches them as he has the turning circle of the QEII.

Great defensively; dangerous in attack; not far from being a great goal-kicker.

Like I said, he's a good finisher, but surprisingly defensive positioning & tackling ability doesn't come into scoring points
Next season Cas need: 2 wingers, a centre, a prop or 2 and another second rower. |
