There is a bit of a rumour that Lee Smith could be going to Wakey, does anyone think that he could a job for us in the centre.

i'm a lee smith fan and i would love him to stay at the rhinos,but if he has no future at our club and for whatever reason?
then i do hope that he moves to a club that will allow him to ply his trade each week wherever that may be

To be honest I would have kept Aspinwall - we need squad players and he went ok when he played

Also Rob Parker did a decent job where needed - I'd give him a 1 year contract

Both could be worth a punt if money wasn't so tight but IMO what they offer is not what we most need to acquire with any spare cash.

What about Gerraint Davies - currently without a club so would be cheap, still young and a forward which is what we need.

Heard a rumour the other day the club have allegedly offered Senior a one year contract, whilst Leeds have offered him a pay-as-you-play contract. The sticking point is that he wants a two year contract from Cas.

Surely that's a great opportunity to simply say "On yer bike!"

Ive heard we have got pryce not senior, which would also fit in with what milward says about getting young players in.

I know this will go down as one of the most unpopular comments on here but im entitled to an opinion like everyone else i supppose so here goes.... i dont have a problem with us signing Keith Senior

put all the dirty player comments to one side for a minute and face the simple fact, if Jordan Thompson niggled and interfered as Senior does (not giving away an excessive ammount of penalties away in the process) and every now and again threw a few punches, and proved to be a pretty hard fella who stood his ground and backed his team mates when required, we may all well cheer, and if he has a career with as much success im sure would be satisfied with end product.
I look at Keith as a potential answer to a problem for a year ! having spoke to a few players who know him well, im confident his experience/input with our younger outside backs could help develop them quite well (not always the same character on the field as off it) and be honest, with the space Rangi could create for him how many tries could Youngquest score outside him if we could keep him on the field ???
Nobody complained too much about Beefy, Tuuta, Hepi, Gibbs ect
Whats wrong with a one year solution, until a few players off contract at the end of the year free up cap space to replace him with quality (do we have a better alternative), maybe no need if the youngsters benefit faster for the sake of his guidance..... just a thought

Well said, I've seen far worse offences committed by the odd Cas player over the years than Senior ever has. It depends on what terms he is coming on & what his role is. But I'd take a 40 year old Senior than a lazy, spineless slob like Pryce. You will still get twice as many yards & tackles out of Senior on one leg, as well as the experience to rub off on the younger players.

Don't know how you've done it but you seem to have signed Tomkins, Leuluai and Mossop.

1995-1996 Centenary Championship wasn't it? 1996 and 1997 were broad black and amber hoops if I remember correctly. I remember our away kit that season was similar but in red, and thinking it looked like a Wigan kit. Well, what goes round comes round I suppose!

What's all this about Karl Pryce signing for us? Waste of money I think, did nothing last year, big guy and doesn't do anything special and as slow as a snail, can't see any point?

If someone could get the best out of this lad, and maybe a crowd that got him going, who knows ?

Lad needs to bend his back and show some heart, he must be nearing the last chance saloon for super league.

We have had some write offs in the past come to Cas and turn it around. I would give the lad a chance.

if we need another centre why don't we put in a homegrown one, then he'd have much more heart and enthusiasm
