I can't argue with the fact that he ahs turned Salford's fortunes right on their head. My issue isn't with that.

My point is (as I have satted several times on this thread but people are lashing out in defence) that he has a monopoly over your club. This is fine at the moment, but he has got bored with one CEX withing THREE MONTHS. To me that is worrying, you don't want the club to be a merrygoround of players and coaches. It didn't work for Leeds in the 1980's and it cant work for anyone else.

To make statements as you say, like "we will win the league next year" shows naivety to an outrageous extent.

And yes, I stand by my comment, saying "clubs spend over the salary cap so I will do the same" IS bringing the game into disrepute. It libellously suggests clubs are breaking the rules, when I imagine he has no real evidence for this.

I also believe that the Ben Westwood incident was pathetic. Launching his own inquiry??? the video shows Ben doing nothing of what was suggested.

In closing, if I were a Salford fan, I'd want him to talk less and act more. The more he opens his mouth the more skeptical I become of the bloke. You guys have a LOT of work to be done in order to be a big club.

Salford fans are hoping the club is made more stable AND competitive. We don't want a cycle of boom and bust - but as has been pointed out several times, at the start of the year we were simply bust!

The Westwood incident was regrettable, and Dr Koukash has had his apology accepted by the player, so we move on.

I agree that personally I would like to maybe hear a little less, but that's the way our new owner operates so as he's paying his money, he can conduct himself (within certain parameters) how he chooses. He is acting plenty enough for me so far, and if he walked today he has given us half a season more than we were expecting. There is plenty of work to be done, any right minded person can see that. What is simply baffling is the animosity coming from certain corners to our small club trying to improve itself and become a bigger one...

I think the animosity is derived through the statement he made about been prepared to cheat the cap. The timing of this statement was also questionable particularly when he just had for fork out the 10 grand fine for fielding the extra player.

I have no issue with Salford receiving major investment from anybody - in fact I think it's bloody brilliant that a club in our game can be attractive even in such a horrendous state as it was.

My opening post of this raised my point which I have not wavered from - it would worry me if he had selected a CEX and then dumped them after three months.

The obvious concern is that I hope it's not a sign of things to come, and personnel will be constantly reshuffled simply because he has the power over the club to do that.

Though admittedly my choice of title was the thread was distasteful.

I wouoldn't want to see any super league club used as a "plaything" for a man with too much money and not enough respect for a game I love and he knows very little about.

The comments about the salary cap highlighted this disrespect - to walk into a sport and make claims that clubs are cheating, without evidence to back it up, is just not on.

Again I re-iterate, I'd like him to speak less and act more. He doesn't need to make statements about clubs, or Ben Westwood, or that Salford will win the league in 2014...

There's no need to make himself unpopular like that
