What I find interesting is the following statement. "I'm glad I'm here. It couldn't have worked out any better,"
Especially after he apparently wanted away last year.

| Don't know if he really wanted away last year or not. He states in one interview that he thought CT were going to terminate his contract and he was looking at getting a gig elsewhere. CT might have been using his disciplinary record as a tool to get rid of him thus reducing the wage bill.

| Yeah if you look how Cas worded it you'll see he never asked to leave, they offered him a chance to so he probably felt like he was being forced out.

| He never wanted to leave at all. The rumours began in the papers and thats how he found out that Wigan were initially interested and that Cas had been holding talks. Up until then he wasn't aware Cas were trying to get rid and he hadn't requested to leave.
I think it then snowballed in to something where people assumed he wanted away from the club but this wasn't the case until Cas started pushing to get rid
I, personally, am glad he has stopped. He is one of the most individually talented players that I've seen at Cas for many years and I hope he can regain the form he showed when he won MOS

| He was having an interview in a bar on TV & the journalist asked him if he would like to play for Wigan, What could Rangi say to that, but yes, if he says no he would have been slated by the press for not having ambition.
For me the person doing the interview asked him a loaded question making it sound like he wanted to move, it did not go down well with some Cas fans
