Well what a surprise the RFL have been working closely with the Broncos and Barnet FC over the last 10 days to stave off administration and find them a new home for the 2014 SL season. With a whopping maximum crowd capacity 0f 5,167 . Good news for the genuine supporters of the Bronco's but where has all this SL criterea business gone and will the RFl work with Swinton Lions over the next 10 days to help them? Farce!

Sorry but this comes across as just another hope and prey chance. The details are sketchy and doesnt offer much change to the past. SL and the RFL are running around like headless chickens with no plan in what they are doing or where they want the game to grow and how to properly achieve success. For a great sport its just a shame its run by so many clueless egomaniacs

Investors will be tripping over themselves to pick off the low hanging fruit. Masses of potential down there. Huge population. Kids are playing the game in schools, skate parks and the streets.

Totally agree TLBC. All I see is reactive measures to an ever worsening domestic game crisis. Where is the strategic planning, commercial planning, pro active management to bring the game together and those lost 'bums back on seats' at all levels. Perhaps this is what the disgruntled SL Chairmen who walked out of the last meeting were unhappy with? Only time will tell but to be honest I do hope for Fax sake re promotion and relegation chance and the games sake that somebody somewhere grows a pair, and challenges those at the top. If you accept mediocrity that is exactly what you will get !!!!!
Let's have somebody at the top who tells it as it is, not spin, and unites all levels of the game and its supporters so we can all take ownership to get the game moving again in the right direction.
Apologies to those who have read similar posts from me before but I really do feel so passionate about what is /or rather is not, happening at the moment in a game I have watched man and boy for 46 years!

I see the goalpost have moved again reading this with 'special dispensation' given to Go OVER the overseas quota AGAIN. Just beggars belief how the RFl just continue to move the goal posts depending on which club you are!
So I read this as London can now go and get as many Aussies as they want to make sure they don't finish in the bottom two in case there is relegation. Likes of Cas, Wakefield however have to stay within the rules and run the gauntlet. Groundhog day with a lot more riding on it for some SL clubs this time.Wouldn't that be the mother of all ironies if two clubs went down-and those were Bulls and Bronco's despite the RFL bending their own rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Once the photo's i've seen on the internet of Featherstone's brand new centre of excellence finally make their way to Red Hall, Cas & Wakey had better watch out for their future's in the top tier because they look to have a fantastic new facility there and ground improvements that already embarrass their nearby brothers & sisters.

Just seen a post on the bulls forum getting tetchy towards London saying they should have a 6pt deduction and half their sky money taken away.

What the poster has failed to remember is that unlike the bulls, London avoided admin, and no one at London has been shortsighted enough to suggest that a drop in sky money as a sweetener to any deal to keep them in the league.

I'd imagine a few more will get upset about London as time goes on. London now need to recruit a team for next season, Bradford have said that players can leave, will we see so e head south? As there's no where else for many of them to go as most clubs have finished recruiting and have spent their budgets. Only exception might be Warrington who have had some space freed by briers retirement.

But then Warrington are a top club, is there anyone at Bradford left who they'd want?

As for Swinton, it's a mess what's happening there. Fans co-operative may be the way forward for them, it's worked at Rochdale, but they need it get things sorted fairly quickly

The RFL will move heaven and earth to keep a SL club in London and prevent them having egg on their face that it has not worked.
Thing is Barnet are not a big football club and how many London fans will travel up there after being based at Twickenham.
Its like always with the RFL - anybody want a SL club out there can come in and be their saviour, never mind what is best long term and if they have the sport at heart which they won't as don't we all know about the footy v rugby divide??
I will give London a few more years as a SL club but rules allowing they will get relegated one year I am sure.

Barnet FC to the Stoop is only 19 miles. So if that is local there is nothing preventing Bulls relocating to.....pick you place! I quite like the idea of them moving to play at A new stadium near a ski slope on the M62

Went to Fev last week and new stand is well on it's way, looks like they will be moving the pitch up the hill and maybe building another stand at the bottom end. That will cause trouble as the scratters in the houses at the bottom end of the ground won't be able to climb out of the roof voids.
