The record defeat was at ANZ Stadium,Brisbane,Australia with Brisbane beating Fax 76-0 on 22 June 1997. The return at Halifax which was played on 4 August saw Brisbane beat Fax 54-10.

They may have been the squads but im pretty sure at least a couple of players not listed actually played in the game.

Indeed that is correct, it was Canterbury who beat us 42-12. And if Lockyer was on better kicking form we would have lost 90 nil in Brisbane, a match where it appeared Moana was smiling as Brisbane were scoring a long range try. There appeared to be 3 changes to the team that actually took the field at Thrummers, with Gillespie, Hanlan and Rushforth replacing Moana, Amone and Seal.

The aussies went to town on how bad we were and made fun of the "Blue Sox" nickname. Yes, even the far reaches of the world .... quite literally .... thought the nik was a complete joke ... except ONE person. I think that says it all.
