Cherryholme had a good solid game, what were you watching? Granted, he doesn't smash his way through the line like Aizue, but he works his back end off in defence, he completed four tackles in a row at one point! Sort of player every team needs.

But we do need to sign another prop, we've just not replaced Maloney or Tamghart properly.

Got a run of games over Easter, so I would expect to see all the squad playing in the next 3 games (injuries permitting).

I'd like to see a consistent team selection with the others in the Under 23's.

Talking of props... you should see what Widnes have done to Richard Varkulis... With us he was a pacy strong centre who could fill in the back row if needed. Now Widnes have juiced him up so much he has become a podgy prop who could barely muster a 10 minute spell.

end of the day we tried playing down the middle against a team that had more established props and better props/pack than us (and better defense).............we looked good when throwing the ball about (when it came off) but i must admit we needed to do it!!!

I'd agree with that. It was the Leigh PACK that dominated not just the props. Leigh had only 2 out and out props in the 17 today in Mills and Hill. Thornley has moved from 2nd rower to prop over the last year or so and is still on the small side for a prop and Mitchell is a 2nd rower playing prop because we have nobody else. We had no real size advantage, but the work rate from our pack is phenomenal. Aizue was Fax's best forward today and cherryholme worked hard too. Gannon made yards but gave away a few silly penalties too.

Really great result if you ask me. When the team was announced i saw a trouncing on the cards but to get a bonus point is brilliant.
