Tomorow is franchise day and 6/8 weeks ago the club was advertiseing non stop for the push to sL and now within the last few weeks nothing apart from a blog.

Also theres nothingin the courier about the announcement no interviews etc have we given up or is there something there not telling us.

Not much they can do in the last few days. Six to eight weeks ago was just the right time and don't forget the advert they put in the LE this week.

Yes but how many local Halifax people buy the league express. It should be in the courier at least. Also maybe a interview with calland rather than just players interviews regarding sheffield. Its like the bids gone out the window

Maybe just letting the coach and players concentrate on the job in hand? Leave the license stuff to the Directors etc and think about Sheffield - we need the win and don't think the licensing palava should detract from that.

How many local Halifax people are making the decision? It's based on the submitted application not how many adverts a club has placed!

I agree, the Courier should acknowledge the fact that tomorrow is D Day. Let's start some interest in the town about something other than football.

The courier will report in their usual timely manner. Expect to "read all about it" on the 5th April.

What do I win?

Which suggests that the advert they put in the LE was at least a week too late and a bit of a waste of money if it was paid for.

There was a lot of hype about the application weeks back but it does seem in the weeks leading up to the decision it has gone quiet. The club should really have been banging their drums and putting pressure on the RFL about the decision. I guess having a board that is split on which decision they would favour hasnt helped matters.

Constructive? You may want to go over some of my posts. How about banging on about the SL licences, how about banging on about doing something for the Fev game with all the things surrounding that. I thought some of that was pretty constructive.

So you think the advert, which I think was very good by the way, was perfectly timed? 3 days before the announcement? That was my only real gripe and that it went very quiet in the last couple of weeks in the build up to the decision.

No, i was on about the comments you made about what the board thinks. Now, i know you're all things to all men but the last time i checked you weren't on the board of directors.

Like i say, maybe they should keep their opinions to themselves sometimes or at least be selective in who they tell.
