Right, please enough of all the negative posts, whether they are constructive criticism regarding whats gone on already this season & lets just concentrate on the remaining 2 games this year (yes, I think there will be 2 games!)

Do we want the players to have the same attitude as some on here going into Thursday or do we want them to be fully up for the biggest game of the season so far???

The game is at The Shay, we have a full strength sqwuad & at the start of the season, if someone offered us this situation we would snap their hands off!!!

So come on please, lets all just get behind the team, move forward & show the other teams in the RL community that everyone connected with Halifax RLFC, players,backroom staff & supporters will finally come up with the goods & win the next 2 games!

At the end of the day. Whatever happend last week, last month or 4 months ago, whatever peoples opnions are on the coach or the players, 17 lads playing for Halifax are in a semi-final to actually win something on thursday night, there's no way that's a negavive thing so get the songs going from the moment they leave the pitch at warm-up to victory.

If we lose, then unleash hell. But for now just get on with supporting the team.

Thankyou pal but we now have to move on from that,its yesterdays news and i for one just want us to get up in your league and in turn get better atendandances and better quality teams down at cougar park ,i.e your lads,super league??not even in my mind to be honest,i like RUGBY LEAGUE.,for your lads thats definately where you belong however.

I always believed in the coaching team the players and the board, but the time has come now & a lot depends on this result.

I couldn't give a monkey's about performance just the result.

This game matters more than any this season. We're at home and need to make it count! We CAN do it!

this is [ithe[/i biggest game of the season...of the last few years. Not thursday gone. Not even the final if we get there, not the nrc semi. This game. So let's all put our petty squabbling to one side and roar our boys home. Leave them in no doubt where our loyalty and faith lies, and we shall be repaid.

I really don't understand why there isn't too much enthusiasm about this fixture, the whole town should be buzzing with anticipation and what the prospects of reaching the final mean to the future of our club. I still believe that we're good enough to win the comp.
Although the atmosphere should be fantastic at the game, we need to make a good start to the game and our fans make more noise than Fev's, 'cos we don't want to give them any reason to out-cheer the lads. I don't remember Fev ever getting the North stand to themselves, we need to make sure that they have a rotten night, in a sporting way.

Like I have said before the reason we have different opinions is because we all want the same thing for the club. . . . . . . . . . Success.

I will certainly be there on Thursday cheering the boys on and giving All 17 my support and Matt Calland. Looking back and in hindsight, I agree with comments on here that we should look at the season when it is finished.

The wife is now 9 days overdue and I am papping my pants that she will go into labour on Thursday. A few Uri Gellar type stares at this post prompting the wife to give birth would be appreciated!!!!!

Its great to see a positive thread. And I really hope the 17 guys who are going to put a shirt on this thursday read it.
I think its worth everyone getting a reality check if they are spending time bagging the players. I, like many, have supported Fax for over 25 years, home and away. I was at Barrow last week and we were let down. Whats done is done. The last 20 years have sometimes not been easy. Trips to Nottingham City, Trafford Borough etc, going bust time and again blah blah blah but thats life and sport. We have had nothing to shout about. No final, with the exception of the Regal Trophy against Wigan in about 1991 when I believe we were in the 2nd divison and that bloody relegation game against York a couple of years back.

Well we are 80 minutes away from a final. The boys need to know why some supporters appear critical, we all want the same thing. The difference is that 17 people on Thursday can make it happen. Not Matt Calland, not Martin Hall, not the hundreds of other former Fax players and coaches who never made it to a final for the Club. Some of these guys will be playing for Fax for the last time if we lose and will therefore move on like all the other players we have seen. If we win they will be remembered as a part of something good. Not the team that lost 5 in a row and came 2nd in the league, the team who nearly beat Cas or the team that lost to Widnes in the NRC semi. With everyone behind them they can achieve something special.

Please please make it happen Fax. The squad this year are special. Remember what made you great at the start of the year and play how we all know you can.

Its good to see some positive threads for a change and it makes good reading.

We all talk about the players needing to be up for the game and I am sure they will be. However we as supporters need to be up for the game too. We have our own battle to win. Featherstone supporters will be well up for this game and will really get behind their team. We need on top form and be up for this game,we need to out shout and out sing them on thurs. This is our time, we need to stand up and be counted.
What's done is done we can't affect the past, but we can help affect the future. Let's put all the bad feeling to one side and all players and supporters pull together, because ultimately we all want the same thing. We are 80mins away the final,we all want to be there, I believe we can, the players are good enough, us fans are good enough and the club is ready for it. So let's help deliver what's been long overdue
