Ben for me is clearly the most talented player but his injury and the clubs poor form will prevent him from winning it. Ellis to be fair should win it on merit this time. Good luck to all the players shortlisted.

I don't think many would agrue that Ben is the most talented player in the Championship, but Ellis has been more consistant. Can't disagree with the top 3 nominations either.

As Barrow have played in the NRC final, finished top of the table, Are appearing in the Grand Final and are 'bookies favourite' to win, it certainly proves the guy has got pretty much everything right this year. True, but, Karl Harrison came in at Batley and steered them away from what was almost certain to be relegation on a very small budget. Whereas Dave Clark has had the biggest budget and came back after a run of 6(?) straight wins . . . opposite ends of the scale really. Then again, Clark got them to the NRC Final so probably justifies his inclusion really.

Used to be done by polling all players and coaches. Not sure now as I'm not involved at first hand. Might be the RFL - but they don't pick the dream team.
