I heard that Greetland & Park 2nds were going to play prior to the first team cup game John, noy sure how true it is though.

No rugby for me tomorrow, too much other stuff to do after i finish work at lunchtime unfortunately.

Will be suprised if the top pitch on Saville Park is playable tomorrow, was on it today badly rutted, frozen solid and a big frozen puddle on it. Our pitchhh didn't look too good either

Went to the Moor to watch Park seconds. At 2.00 there was no one thre so assumed the game was off. Drove up to Greetlads to find their game off.
Later that day found out Park did play. Where? At what time. Would have loved to have seen it, Park won their first game of the season, no first team game? was that the reason Park won.

Greetland's game was off at around 10.30am according to son No.2

Not too much cheer for the local sides yesterday looking at the results with Brighouse & Park both getting beaten at home but the Stags & Greetland both won in div 3. Greetland scoring 15 tries but only kicking 3 conversions, the final score really should have been nearer to 90 nil. Hoyland turned up with just 12 blokes so they were always struggling, fair play to them though. Keighley, beaten in the Halifax cup last week & previously unbeaten in the Championship bounced back from last week's shock reversal against div 3 Stainland with an 86-2 win yesterday over Ackworth. Hmmmm, that asks a few questions & some of the Elland lads I spoke to at the Greetland game yesterday had strong opinions about it.

A great derby win for Boothtown over Illingworth, did any of our posters get up to watch that fixture ?

Oh, & to the Fev fan who posted previously in the defence of the Ponte social club & their antics, I wonder what he's got to say about the Selby v Pontefract social club abandonement for "fighting" ?????

Yes mate, I'll be down Strawberry Ridge from anywhere around 7.30 ish. I'm on morning shift, then I need to go for my hair styling like the kids on the street have theirs, gym, need to pick up a lottery ticket for the Euro's so I can take over the running of Halifax RLFC with my winnings ( let's hope I also get at least ONE bonus ball too ) and then a couple of other bits & bats on my "to do" list before I can even think about putting on my dancing shoes & matching but lucky Daryl Powell is a bah humbug undershants and socks.
Then cometh the task of making myself presentable, that'll be spitting & polishing on aforementioned shoes, running the iron probably on the wrong setting over my baggy-assed jeans, cutting myself while rushing through the facial hair shaving process, attatching the deeley-boppers/reindeer antlers AND mistletoe with "press & play" christmas carols to the prior styled hair.
All of course if I've managed to do the mountain of ironing first, otherwise am in the crapper.....
