Batley is the best away day of the year. I didn't enjoy that second half smashing of them.

No, I didn't. Completely unnecessary booing when they walked onto the pitch at the beginning of the game too, not needed and unnappropriate especially for a team like Batley.

However, I did enjoy the win, and I did enjoy the fact that we're looking hot!

The win was good and helped with the points difference I.e... widnes-toulouse..

But I wish it was a Leigh, Haven, Donny thumping where I didn't care about who we played but like most people I reckon I have a soft spot for Batley...

Hey its a Pro game, you do what you have to do.
Lets be honest we did not bother first half but when we did second half we murdered them, not our fault stop feeling sorry for them.
I did not enjoy the first half tbh it was very average, both teams.
Yer we don't mind Batley and wish it had been Whitehaven but like I say we want to see a professional job and if that means 'smashing' them sorry but tough.
Did Hull KR bother the other year when we got tonked???
No they went for it.

So do I, there is certainly a likeability factor about Batley and our league would seem strange without them! Keep going Batley, look forward to my trip there this season.

Would also like to compliment them on the fact that they always bring their mascot over, created some real banter with Halicat tonight and kwpt me entertained at times.

Yes its the pro game and we did what was needed am not bothered about that.. in fact happy in that aspect.

We did bother in the first half, batley just were a bit more competitive and more enthusiastic.

You didn't enjoy the first half cos we didn't score after score against a game team.

Nah I meant the first half had loads of mistakes (both sides), too many penalties and like I said we were half hearted.

A real game of two halves, a comfortable lead at half time without setting the world alight....the sin binning gave us an opportunity to press on at the start of the 2nd, and didn't we.

Some great stuff, but some of the Batley defence was embarrassing. It was almost as if they had resigned themsleves to defeat and had one eye on Monday's game against the French.

But you can only beat what is put in front of you, and we did that in style.

I somehow think Monday's game will be a different proposition altogether!

just been looking on the batley forums, and they are after there coach's head,and they are saying how poor we are

One thing that did annoy me last night and i think it has been mentioned earlier, why the hell did the RFL make Batley play in their away strip? At times when the players had there backs to where i was i couldnt tell the difference between the teams - can the Club raise this with the RFL? Do the RFL actually know what colours Championship clubs have for home and away? Batleys home kit is red and white if i recall correctly - they should have worn that.

Other than that i thought we played ok last night - great to score so many points and some great handling from the players - best thing for me was nilling Batley. As some has mentioned elsewhere, last year that would probably have been 72 - 30

Calm down, all teams have fans that have mis-behaved at times. I don't recall the incident you are refering to, however I do recall Batley "Fans" verbally abusing, followed by a plastic glass full of unidentified liquid being thrown at Ryan MacDonald as our team left the hill a few years ago on a good friday night.

My comment was said without malice, just light hearted banter. I do not appreciate personal insults being directed me fo no other reason than someone disagrees with me. Some brave people on the internet!!!

So we should get behind the opposition and cheer for them as well?

We ought to make the atmosphere one to relish, make visiting teams not want to come to the shay (players that is, not the fans) We back our own team all the way and its appreciated by the players and coaches.

As for thumping them second half, Its about time we did it, Widnes thrashed Toulouse and no one seemed to think it was a problem, we've been on the wrong end of those sort of scorelines before now and its not nice, but the players and coaches need to take stock and ring the changes if needed.

Fax did what they had to do, winning by that margin has caught up our points difference on Widnes who had the 70-0 under their belts.
