Been there, done that - 2004. If the unthinkable does happen, that last day will be a "fan killer" for Leigh. In 2004, as York piled on the points i was sick to the stomach - and having chatted to Michael Steele some time after that match - it could have all been so "final" for Halifax RLFC. For me, the comeback which followed was as much a rush as the 1987 Challenge Cup semi-final victory.
Good luck Leigh fans - keep those arteries clear for the next two weeks. |

I thought it was quite funny at the time , especially when Grixy stopped that kick from going into touch and the York player ran through and picked it up |

| NL2 really looks like an abyss, playing the likes of London Skolars, it seems just one notch up from amateur RL. At least you get several clubs in NL1 taking a few hundred to away matches creating some kind of rivalry and atmosphere. NL2 you'll get none, I seriously wouldn't wish relegation to that black hole on anyone. Except Widnes of course!  |
