Is it actually set in stone that, should Toulouse finish in the bottom two and with them being immune from relegation, the team above them go down?

If not I think that they should only relegate Donny and promote two teams to bring the number of clubs in the Championship up to twelve making it unnecessary to have blank weeks (which is what I'm sure they would have done had Gateshead been in that position).

This has been a tremendous season both in terms of the top of the table and the relegation fight. But it's turned into a farce because we had Barrow "playing for a defeat" cos of the crazy bonus point system and Leigh going down even tho' they haven't finished in the bottom 2. All due to the thick incompetentence of the RL .... oooooo they make my blood boil!

Without taking anything away from Leigh, that really is a shocking effort by Haven .... their failure to get even a bonus point means they will have to TRAVEL to Widnes in the play offs rather than have a home tie.

Think Haven only put half a side out but cant take it away from Leigh today....gutted for them really.....frogs exempt and Gatashead can sign half the NRL in the last two months of the season.

Shame as they finished above toulouse but we all knew the rules before hand... At the end of the day they just wern't good enough.

Rules are Rules. Leigh havn't had the best of luck this season with 2 players being denied work permits ect, But then again Barrow had 3 players rejected and still came top

if you are to introduce a new team surely they should have the ame rules as every1 else?

Correct up to a certain point but what other sport does a team above another and on different points get relegated? The RFL once again make the game a laughing stock. The sooner the likes of Nigel Wood amongst others bugger off from the game the better. Shame to see Leigh go down. Yes they were crap this season but once again the RFL and its stupid vision (Nigel Wood et al) allow a French team to stay up despite finishing below a team who got more points who now get relegated. How do you explain that to somebody who is new to the game? Oh well some teams are given al the help they need whilst others are told " You are the weakest link, Goodbye". Well done the RFL!!!

gutted for leigh really...even tho i didnt enjoy the experience of going to the LSV, they are a proper heardland club with a decent following.

if toulouse cant hack it in championship even with the RFL helping them out with quota exemptions, then simply they should be relegated!!

as for gateshead, they avoided relegation JUST! even with all the RFL bumming!
