Offiah is the same for me, big girls blouses, they swan about on tv on any programme that will have them on. Offiah wouldn't have liked our modern RL as a winger, too much hard work to do instead of being a pretty princess on the wing.

Didn't do so much of that at Wembley during the 80's and 90's, recall a few crackers at thrum hall as well.

He would be a success now as he was then (pace), saints and Leeds would snap him up.

He scored for fun at Thrum hall and delivered on the toughest lions tour.

'That' try he scored on the Lions tour was labelled 'one of the best ever' by the Un*on commentators / journos at the time.

We were privileged! He scored one like that every other week for us, or so it seemed!.

Offiah was class, he who have been great in any era

He was different, he was a big strong bloke and amazingly fast, he had great hands, and his support play was amazing

People often slag him off but he made so many of his 500 tries out of nothing

If you watch that famous one at Wembley he breaks straight through 2 would be tacklers then goes 100 yards

He made his full Wigan debut at Thrum Hall and I remember Dave Watson (who was hard) trying to kill him most of the game - anyway he tried hard and the final outcome was an Offiah hattrick

That was when Watson tried to shoulder charge him over the wall down the bottom corner in front of the Scratching Shed. Can still picture that in my mind now.... but have forgotten all the tries he scored against us!
