Personally, I don't think the numbers stack up with them in Div 2 - whatever name it might carry.

And - ideally - I'd love the French to have a strong ligue of their own. Just a pipe dream, obviously.

As with crusaders, fans of championship clubs, who see these teams operate, say they aren't ready and then get called flat cappers and get accused of only having their club's interest at heart - cos we all believe our clubs would go well in club killing SL land!

What I'd like to know is - do Sky have a preference for which teams are in the league ? Do they prefer the cosmopolitan nature of a league with Catalans and London to Fev and Fax ? Judging from the matches they televise, no.

I don't buy into that "Sky says SL has to have a London club" nonsense.

I think Sky see SL as a good sport to fill their summer schedule when there is no soccer. It gets good viewing figures and advertising revenue probably more than covers the small amount sky invest in SL. I don't think Sky could give two hoots about which clubs are in SL and whether they are financially viable as long as people keep watching at home and advertising time is sold.

Make no bones, licensing was invented by SL and administrators with their heads in the clouds to protect the sports elite. No thought for the rest of the game.

Putting Fev in SL will solve nothing. Three leagues of 8 will solve nothing. A massive broom taken to the cronies at Red Hall and complete change in focus and direction is what is needed to save RL from itself. As long as matches are played in summer, Sky will pay as we have a great product without much competition

So Sky and the RFL would put a club into SL that regularly gets to mid season then runs out if money, Cos they play in a functional modern stadium that they don't own? Really?

Have you forget the recent money problems of both Fev and fax, Fev went into admin in 2002/3 owing £400k of which £100k was to the inland revenue
You had the buckets out in 2006, sold TH and then you had 2003 season
But all that is nothing compared to Bradford Wakefield Widnes and Salford

I don't really call 2006 recent and we sold Thrum Hall 15 years ago. For several years now we have been making a profit.

These 6 and 7 figure sums that are being mentioned better be real because it will certainly need them in place and even then nothing is guaranteed.

Would we be talking about full time players without this man at Fev and building the centre of excellence putting £200 000 into youth development next season to try and bring the youth through To me and many other these are the type of people you need at the clubs if you are to progress What you should ask is why is he thhrowing his money about at Fev and he wouldn't at your club. The only thing I can see is that the two men you name will leave the game if the RFL stop them spending to get the best The Probiz name will also be around at this years World Cup so it looks like he is more than prepared to stump his money up for RL not just Fev

I have no idea what Faisal is thinking but if and when he and Fev get into SL just from an exposure perspective being on Sky TV and having the Probiz name and other sponser names high prophile must be worth a small fortune in itself.

However.

It will take a lot more than money though to get into SL and become one of the big players alongside Wigan, Warrington, Leeds, etc.

It will also take some time, it's not an 100 meter dash, middle distance if your lucky and a marathon if your not.

The same applies to every club but not every club is being as loud about what they will and won't be capable of before the real details of the course has been set out and the starting gun fired.

I agree money does help but there is alot more to it to get in S/L The good thing for us is that we have been going along steading over the last Few years and this injection of money is helping us get things in place which I feel would of been harder without it. For the record I don't think Fev will be there next year but this exposure on sky news in the national papers and on the forums by other clubs is doing us no harm We are working closely with the RFL and doing what they are asking us to do. The thing is when these groups of 8 come in place in 2015 we should be prepared but sport is a funny thing and anything could happen

This bit always makes me laugh , we were working closely with the RFL when they refused to acknowledge the LSV existed back in 2008
