We used to have people on here taking the mick out of other teams fans for being so fickle & turning against their teams etc.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions,but some of the things said on here are really scraping the barrell. If you have evidence of the things you claim then show us, otherwise why spread rubbish?

Finally, I'll continue to support MY team no matter what this year. I didnt go last night due to costs, but I'm going to Batley next week & will of course see the games at home. If we dont win the comp then wont make a shread of difference about next year as I'll be down the Shay for pre season games & the rest just as I have done for the past 25+yrs, because purely & simply I support HALIFAX RLFC no matter who plays or who is in charge

I hold my hands up and say I have been the biggest critic of Matt and the team and last night I shouted at him to leave as he came off the pitch I am digusted with myself and really want to apoligies to matt for what I said as its a hard job and he is doing is best to try turn it around. I was just bitterly disapointed and to blame the coach is the 1st thing I do which is wrong I just hope Matt can fogive me and know that I am behind him and the team 100%. I have been deeply wrong and I am very sorry.

Trust me I will be doing. I just love Halifax RLFC and have been deeply hurt by what as happened in recent weeks but I would be at every game home and away if we was bottom of Championship 1 with no points getting thrashed every week. Coaches and managers get stick all the time when things are not going well its heat of the moment stuff and you usualy can get away with it but at Fax everyone knows each other thats what makes it worst.

Very humble mate....we all say a few silly things in the heat of the moment.

at last some positive posts. gee ,theres been some vitriolic posts put on this board recently.i agree we havent played well recently and some comments made by mc have been poor etc but bear these points in mind.we,ve been hard hit by injuries recently to greenwood , james,roberts, a half fit black,larder missing a few games , govin out etc.callands biggest mistake was not replacing moore at 6 when he left ,we have struggled for a settled half back combo all season,penky is an 9 and a nine only while beswick is a loose forward/hooker.govin must start and play at 6 for the last few games.
i also think in a way did we over achieve in the first half of the season. we were certainly fitter and probably better preapred thanks to a long pre season build up then most other teams.we had a full strength team at the beginning of the term compared to , say , Sheffield who were without ropati, exton,yere etc, they are now playing and sheffield are one of the strongest sides around.- the same applies to haven and others.
we ARE a good side but so are the other top 6/7 teams. and at the end of the day we lost by 2 points to fev and haven and we could have got a lot closer to sheffield if fax had converted blacks break into a try.remain positive and enjoy the end of the season.i am off to the coast now for some bracing sea air.bye

Just to touch on that, everyone on the way out was commenting on what a pratt you were being but if that's the way you want to conduct yourself and represent the club that's up to you. I'm just glad I didn't have the kids with me that night as usual because they or any other kid shouldn't have to see that. We know you might have had one 2 many shandys but the kids get scared so just try bear that in mind.

just a thought I have just spoken to someone at the club and they mentioned that when we were wining every week and playing great they didn't get any e-mails of support yet now they have had loads saying all sorts of things.

Has anybody thought about dropping the club a quick e-mail of support?

Its all character building, dont feel sorry for players or coach for getting ripped into, it goes with the territory and they 'should' be getting paid, its a job they decided to do themselves. If you cant stand the heat etc.

If they come through they will be stronger for it and respect will be restored, if they can't then I shall hope that we can attract someone who will.

I do wish we would stop pussy footing around and being pc, if were not good enough and not performing consistantly, the answers got to be simple, get someone who can, were not a charity for heavens sake its Sport, its a results business.

Get behind them, give me something to get behind first, the last 2 and half months have been appalling, and were still in denial, its ridiculous. I have seen others shot down on other threads for raising concerns, im afraid the inquest during the summer may not make good reading, but dont say you weren't warned

My point was that when we were playing well people weren't sending messages of support, and they were giving us something to get behind yet now people are happy to send critical messages which i'm sure is disappointing

The fans have been a disgrace the past few weeks .... I thought we were priding ourselves on the fact that players wanted to play for Fax because of the support ... example Gleeson. We seemed to rid ourselves of the whingey moany shackles which Porky Hobson referred to when he said the Fax players hated playing at the Shay. But it's come back again.

Just cos the going has got tough don't go all jelly legged on the lads, let's give them our support for gawds sake.

things are not as bad as they seem, i think too many ppl on here post in the heat of the moment after a game. when you step back and look at things in the cold light of day we are still in a very strong league position.

Our 3 remaining games are all against teams outside the top 6, we are 3 points off top with games in hand.

for example should we win on thurs coupled with wins for widnes and fev would see us top the table again. 3 wins will see us finish 2nd at least . when you consider the squad we have even an away playoff game at barrow is not beyond us.

Even if we finish 2nd and lose the playoff at barrow you would fancy us to beat any team at the shay because whoever we faced would be coming off a short turn around thanks to sky.

keep the heads up win on thursday and everythin is looking rosy again

There are too many extreme views both ways on here.

There should be no abuse of anyone at the club and we should get behind the team.

But I'm not going to call anyone who has put forward fair criticism - it is fully deserved.

Maybe theres quite a few at the club that need to put their hands up and ask for help ?

Office and Coaching staff?

We go down this road on a cyclical basis, i hope people are not over protective of their functions and free season tickets, it would seem to me the club needs all the help it can get across the board, communication would be a good start. Since we dont have a programme any more and dont get too much by the way of probing questioning articles from James Roberts in the Courier, i think its only natural the Forum is going to be a place for rumour, snger venting and letting off steam.

Perhaps someone from the supporters club could liase with the club, and find out if they are struggling to communicate to us.

Were full of helpful ideas if asked

or will it end up a closed shop like The Shaymen where people in positions become protective and struggle on.

Your post sounds a little patronising to me. I don't think they are struggling to communicate with us. We get told plenty. We don't need to know what they have had breakfast and what they are having for lunch.
