| I will go for a Fax win. Even though Batley are a very good team and fit an extra midweek game will give us the edge. Sheffield will be a hard game for them

| It's a must win if we want 3rd spot. I reckon we can only afford to lose one game to get above The Bulldogs and next Sunday isn't one of them. It should however be a cracker of a game and I see a Fax win by 12. Fax 26 v 14 Bulldogs. Up The Fax!

| Tough game this and our recent record isn’t great against them . They complete high and make very few errors so we will have to match that to compete . Hopefully walmsey is fit to replace the injured McComb and Keyes’ foot injury isn’t too bad . I believe Brandon Moore has broke his ribs so wood ( who I thought had is best game for us at the bash ) will need to step up . Not sure what the disciplinary situation is with Martin or potentially fairbank but I don’t think any suspensions will affect this game .
I will reserve judgment until more info appears on the squad.

Keyes is fit and Fairbank and Martin wont be looked at till next week. Though they shouldn’t be a ban.
Anyone no if grix has spoke with rfl about another unfair send off against them?
Have to beat Batley here and concolidate thrid palce.

| The Batley game is possibly our first must win game of the season. A loss and 3rd will be very unlikely. Batley don't have a huge squad so won't be able to rotate many players tonight which will give us an advanatge but if we are missing many of our first choice forwards Batley's pack will roll us. Other than Leigh and maybe ourselves at full strength I think they have a really good pack and as we saw against Bradford once our bench came on we struggled against them and thats going to be made worse against a good team. We have more than enough talent in our back line to beat them but its going to be so important that our forwards get us on the front foot.

| Listening to grixs’ interview it seems there’s a lot of knocks , tangata, Moore , McComb, walmsey, tibbs , Keyes . Personally I think Keyes will be ok , I hope either tibbs or walmsey fit otherwise I’m not sure who’ll be on the wing . If Moore isn’t fit it’ll be probably be wood and Martin rotating . We have larroyer back and hope we don’t play with two hookers on the bench again otherwise Batley will roll us in the pack . Knowles is playing tonight so won’t feature. Difficult to know what to expect, looks like Batley are carrying some knocks too .

| Not sure why it's madness, after a serious injury and months out he'll need to get match fitness and rebuild confidence before coming back into the first team - as we haven't got/ can't afford a reserve team seems a perfect way to achieve this.

Aye you can only play the cards you are dealt , without the Huddersfield reserves he’d have to go straight in from an horrific injury to a brutal championship game , I think overall we’ve balanced the duel reg relationship with Huddersfield well .

That is exactly what is going on here with Brad and clearly is the best option from what is available.
To have a policy which would just leave him ( and every other player in similar circumstances ) with no chance of getting back to where he was would be contrary to every normal sporting ethics.
The message of “we’ll throw you under a bus” if you play for Halifax Rugby League Club and get injured that would send out to him and every other player could end our retention and recruitment in a signal stroke.
Now that is

This is obviously the right thing to do at the moment for Brad but taking the long term view...The longer we as a club are subservient to Salford, Castleford, Huddersfield, whoever, the longer we will stay where we are and where our SL superiors want us. Madness!

Another total misrepresentation of the facts and an insult to everyone associated with the club.
(Are you aware of the straw man principle where a person invents a situation that doesn’t actually exist and then proceeds to argue against it?)
Straw man. In this instance Fax being sub subservient to other clubs.
Reality. In this instance Brad Knowles is getting some much needed game time after months of gruelling rehab.
(Who by the way I know is really hoping to have the chance to show what he can do and be awarded a new contract.)
Second Reality. We as a club have never been subservient to any club and never will be.
The club are working there butts off in extremely difficult times and are making steady progress in the right direction.
Third reality. Unless they use what options are available when they think it benefits us this wouldn’t be the case the only direction we will head is downwards.

What you actually said.
First, Brad playing for Huddersfield reserves was madness.
Then a few posts later it becomes good for him.
Second, 3 main parties would be involved in the decision all with equal say in the matter and if any one of them said no thanks then it wouldn’t happen.
Taking into consideration the 2 main benefactors out of the 3 of them in this case are Brad and Fax that’s not a definition of being subservient, in fact it’s the exact opposite.
Third, the original post concerning Brad playing was to do with team selection from the 21 for the Batley game and with Brad turning out on Friday night very likely ruled him out, it really is as simple as that.
The pro’s and cons of DR as a concept were not being discussed in that post but was introduced by your good self again as were the imaginary subservient cataclysmic claims of what it would mean for us as a club.
Many years / seasons have passed since our first DR relationship with another club and if anything we are no worse, possibly slightly better than we were from that time and in any case where we are and where we will go in the longer term, DR will not be the deciding factor.
Obviously you do not understand the straw man principle but to do so just have a look in the mirror, or I could be just making it up.
I see you like a drink or 2 and this is said in jest could I suggest you try some of this homebrew.

| Just a little heads up for anyone using a premier sports subscription, I’ve had a bit of a debacle with them over the last couple of months, it’s a long boring story but I went to cancel my subscription today via the online portal and received a message asking me not to leave , they give me it half price for 3 months so it’s worth a try .

Brad Knowles wasn’t supporting Huddersfield reserves, to say so is another distortion of the facts.
That thought and DR won’t have even come into his mind he was simply trying to get some game time and they were the highest level available to do so.
Whenever a Fax player turns out for another club from their own and a Fax perspective first and foremost it benefits and supports them.
A couple of DR examples past and present.
Past. Dan Murray came to us on DR from Salford and played a few games before moving on, a couple of years go by and he becomes available again and chooses Fax, why because he enjoyed his first stint loved the place and wants to be here and is one of the best young props in the division.
Present. Ben Tibbs got valuable minutes which along with his efforts in training has played a major part in him getting a first team start and performing like he is for us, we, he and Fax benefit far more than Huddersfield have, these are simple facts.
Without that option Dan would never have been here and Ben could have easily been one who slipped through our fingers and our loss in both cases.
Yes everyone understands your view on DR, after all virtually every week , month after month year after year you have said the same thing for the millionth time.
That is an obsession that shows no respect to other people’s intelligence and coupled with the inevitable derogatory fabricated statements about the club such as being subservient shows no respect for them either.
It’s interesting that many who say “no” to something and complain about it never have anything better to replace it with, have you?
If so please start another thread on your solution to DR and everyone can have an opportunity to debate it without hi jacking every other thread.

So according to you now we have, when a player turns out each week for another club on DR everyone involved is performing some evil act and you claim their for doing so.
And the claim. The club are doing nothing just because it doesn't agree with you, rather a narcissist, selfish, uninformed view point wouldn't you say from someone who by his own admission has no idea of what is going on internally within the club.
As proved by the previously sited examples, as opposed to fantasy the facts show the club are doing something which is to use an option to their and the individuals advantage both in the short term and longer terms.
As i stated I notice despite your intense opposition to DR you haven't come up with a workable alternative and by doing nothing are you not fitting into the definition of your own first sentence
On DR it depends how you define "Support" and actually you have missed the point and context of it being spoken about in this thread which was to show your absurd erroneous claims that the club were subservient to Huddersfield because Brad Knowles played Friday night.
Not only is it evident what your views are on DR but also that your the one being held subservient to it, your a slave to your own obsession.
