Apparently we have signed Branigan from Gateshead.

I got this from a Whitehaven fan who says we beat them to signing him, but I can't recall there been any mention on here.

Has anybody heard anything?

Was told he was moving in to a place down here this week and it's a done deal. He's a stand off so i was told.

Brannigan's playing scrum half this year therefore I'm very surprised Fax have signed him after having so many pivot players, Gleeson, Penky, Black, Beswick and now Brannigan? Have you learnt nothing about balance this year!?

How many there that you mention can actually play 6 or 7 and by play i mean play in a true sense and not just fill in. You forgot Govin though but injurys again have plagued him. Getting in a true Half will free up Penky to do what he does best, play hooker and should see Beswick move to 13.

he's a six and moved to 7 to accomodate aitken. He played with bennie in oz. He, along with henderson, tore us apart at gateshead.

Ive heard he's defo signed as well, but like everyones said you cant be sure till its announced, dont think he'll count on the overseas quota coz he's got a maltese passport. Being good mates with blacky might have helped him make his desicion.
