It is depressing what has happened to our local newspaper though its a sign of the times of printed media. There is no investigative journalism, little fact checking and limited proof reading. I would say however that the sport coverage is excellent for both teams (regardless of the website) with good articles, Dave Flemming's article is always worth a read and the good access given to the manager/coach and players is great.
I am not sure if there is a demand for another printed local newspaper but there is certainly room for an alternative online source.
