I agree.remember the game against Hull. not one penalty and the game flowed

Jamie Childs is the best ref in this league.... If we all keep sayin it maybe it will be believed an he will get promoted to superduperleague and stop tormenting me by reminding me of his very existence

I don't think the touch judges help the situation much, very rarely do they have the bottle to stick the flag up to say they've seen something. I'm all for helping the refs out as much as possible be it with technology, 2 refs, or even 3 with one in the stand and them all being miked up. I'd rather The RFL spent money helping the refs rather over 'expansion'.

He did indeed play for Saints. Many referee's of yester-year had previously turned to reffing due to their playing careers ending one way or another. Whitfield springs to mind, Ronnie Campbell, Russ Smith amongst others.


With the professional season reaching the play-off stage at all levels now, there should only be the full time guys taking the whistle, they are the game's elite and they should be in charge of the season's most crucial games, no arguement.
