Batley have a real bruising match at Whitehaven today ..... will hopefully feel sore and battered come Thursday. We shouldn't have to rely on situations like this to do us a favour, but in the present circumstances I'll take anything which comes our way!

Message to the supporters: Stop moaning and get behind the team, starting with Batley on Thursday. If you think you can do better, apply for the coach's job, or join the Board and DO something rather than just criticise.

Message to the players: Just play your best, lads.

It was interesting to hear Robbie Paul on the Super League Show today, when he made reference to the Cas collapse against Leeds. He was basically saying that when you're up against it, everything just falls apart ... your defence goes all cok eyed, all you practice in training tends to go by the way, and players finish up all over the place, and all this is hard to combat. And to boot, the team on a roll "grow another leg" and everyone wants the ball. Maybe the biggest critics on here are those who have never played the sport. I for one haven't!
