Carney Brace Gets Dragons A Draw Against Giants
Day two of Newcastle's well-supported Magic Weekend got underway with fourth against seventh as the Huddersfield Giants met the challenge of the Catalans Dragons.

The Giants needed the win to be sure of maintaining their fourth spot, regardless of the result in the Saints v. Warrington game to follow, and the Dragons needed a win to take fifth spot, or with an unlikely win by fifty-eight points or more, to overtake the Giants and jump into fourth.

Despite yesterday's wall to wall sunshine having given way to cloud and rain, with the Giants supporters joined by a good following of Dragons fans, and whole host of neutrals, it was a mouthwatering prospect to get Sunday's triple bill underway.
