Love your fireworks BG, was it a big display? As our big city one was cancelled as a money saving thing, I got a few but was a smaller rugby club display:

Yup, this only had two arms, couldn't get close enough to take out the trees so did the best I could



Aye they reckon on about 45000 people, the last things that will get cancelled up here are catholic "celebrations" over the prods (and vice versa)

I took this one at Bingley Music Live in the summer.

Not really photography related, but definitely firewoorks related, go to the usual video site "Oban Community Fireworks display"

More an exercise in the use of photoshop than photography, although sometimes you can capture quite interesting shapes in the smoke.

My daughter thinks she can see an alien in this one so either those people in the White House are misleading us or perhaps she just has a lively imagination.

Afternoon chaps and chapesses.

I have started my Christmas shopping early this year, as I would like to get the missus a framed professional photo for her (well, two actually).

As we already have an amazing evening shot of York Minster (my home city) all proudly lit up just before night time hung up in our flat, I would love to get her a similar framed shot each of Chester Cathedral (her home city) and St Michaels church in Headingley (where we are getting married in 2013).

The shot is about A4 in size, with a border and a frame, and it looks ace.

Would anyone on here be able to help me out please?

You really should have bought the 60D when you were looking at cameras...

These interchangeable lens compacts are OK but the lens choices are a bit limited and I see them as over priced.

An albino squirrel who lives at the zoo. Apparently very rare to have an albino squirrel, but the abundance of food in the zoo means it's hoaching with squirrels and this one is a well fed squirrel.

quite happy with what I bought, it's for use when skiing as my SLR is too big.

indeed the albino is well fed and cute too, but the leopard is absolutely gorgeous, a magnificent looking beast.thanks for sharing.(and dont be shy about posting anymore you may have

Would you not be better off with a higher end Lumix compact?

I had a Lumix compact but it packed up on me, which one would you suggest.
