Downgraded from the Blackberry Torch to the Blackberry Bold 9780 today, the Torch is a cracking phone but a slider just isn't practical for me.

Does anyone know when the Blackberry Dakota is released in the UK market? I'm due an upgrade in May and I'd like to go or that.

Not a fan of my new Torch to be honest. locked into a 24-month contract too!

Want's another new phone happy and not happy with my Orange Rio,good features on it but connecting to the net signal GPRS is crap.(Orange) Cant make my mind up wether to get a blackberry or a touch screen any suggestions welcome PAYG.

Got the Desire HD. Been great so far. Was told of battery issues but I haven't had any that I can recall. It was a hell of a lot cheaper than the Iphone for me.

Nah, get the Samsung Nexus S. It's everything the Desire HD is, without the form factor of a paving slab. It's all curvy and lovely.

Sister has one of them. Don't particularly like it TBH. Seems to be a popular phone though.

HTC every time. Fantastic phones at a fraction of the price of those Apple efforts.

Try uSwitch for deals, but I doubt you will get an iPhone with free handset for that price.

HTC Desire is a great phone, I got mine on a £15/month contract with Virgin (200 mins, 2GB and unlimited texts).

Dont go for the desire. Battery is shocking. 6hrs of reasonable use at best.

Depoends what you call reasonable use and it depends what you've got running.
Have WIFI and Bluetooth on 24/7 will drain any battery.

I have WiFi and Bluetooth on on my iPhone 4g and it hasnt gone flat once. I had a HTC Desire for four weeks then got rid because the battery would go by around 1pm after being charged all night. That was without WiFi or Bluetooth but with moderate usage.

Sorry mate but that's pure grade A BS. I can hammer my Desire HD and it gets through the day without a fuss and I have it hooked up to wifi all day and browse steadily while playing Angry Birds etc. You've either had a faulty one or are making it up.

Had the WiFi on all day and used my Desire for the majority of the day on the net/arsing about and the red light has just come one.

My battery should be worse than everyone else's as the phone & batt have been for a swim!

After having had my Desire HD for about 6 weeks now I've found the battery will last for 24-36 hours between charges, that's with wi-fi and autosync on most of the time and mobile internet on while I'm commuting to and from work, everything is switched off overnight.

I was getting frustratingly little battery life for the first couple of weeks but it's steadily improved and now I couldn't be happier with it.

Looking to buy a new phone on pay as you go for a price between £39.99-£60

T-Mobile are knocking out the Pulse Mini for £29.99, not a super high spec but at £30 a damn good Android phone.

I'll have a look at it.

Looking at the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 anyone know anything about it and if it's worth buying.
