You must have missed Bojo on every news bulletin saying that he was going to do everything in his power to stop the new league.
Not being a reader of The Independent, I hadn't seen Starmer jumping on the bandwagon.
There is an irony in ANY Tory not wanting greedy capitalists to prosper. The new League looked to fit pretty much all of the Tory ideals.
Greedy fat cats wanting even more and not bothered about the working man.
Clearly that aspect of the new competition is lost on you ![Embarassed icon_surprised.gifops:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_redface.gif)

But starmer has jumped on the bandwagon. So as a Labour supporter what you are basically saying is that it’s ok for starmer to do it, but not Boris because that’s not fair.

As any self respecting Labour supporter would, you are moving the goal post to suit your narrative.
Let’s break it down.
Labour supporter claims Boris is jumping on the bandwagon. I point out that starmer is too and you all start typing a load of nonsense saying starmer is entitled to but Boris isn’t.
It’s utterly laughable and I reiterate my point that this is why no one votes Labour because the party and its supporters are an embarrassment

Are you really pleased that the fool Johnson is going to be the person who will lead us into the post brexit nightmare and that he's the best we've got?

Fortunately for Johnson, the problems that will follow the HUGE debt brought on with covid, will dwarf any of the issues surrounding Brexit.
In "normal" times the failings of Brexit (and lack of any "upside" ) would be making the news headlines on a daily basis.
However, Covid has pretty much taken over, both in terms of spending and in terms of it being a much greater problem.
It's worth remembering that Bojo - the man of many faces, was, like his father, pro European, until he saw a chance to become PM and then, surprise, surprise, he changed sides. ![Embarassed icon_surprised.gifops:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_redface.gif)

| In 2016, Starmer voted against an investigation into the Iraq war. I wonder why?
He has also consistently voted against reducing CGT and against increasing the tax threshold. Hang on, I thought Labour were “for the many”?

| I wonder why Boris tried to get donors to pay for his fiancé expensive redecorating which is against the rules so had to pay for it himself because I guess he could not find a way to get the taxpayer to fund it like his now useless press room.
I am afraid you must stop living in the past or is that all you have the Iraq war. I believe the only thing to stop Cameron doing much the same was that Parliament voted against it, so war is not restricted to the Labour Party. We could go back to the formation of the NHS can you guess which party voted over 20 times for it not to be brought into existence and how many lives have been saved by the fact it was.
What have you got to say about the pandemic and the number that died in the U.K., who do you hold responsible for that Starmer I suppose because he voted against something in 2016 which was the same year a pandemic report was produced regarding our preparedness but mysteriously it was never published.I would think Johnson head must be near the ceiling with the number of reports he is sat on.

No single party has won more than 50% of the votes since 1931 - that includes all the Labour governments of Atlee, Wilson, Blair et al - did that make them any less legitimate than Johnson's current government?

| Kier starmers approval rating is the lowest it ever has been.
Just shows that everyone bar a couple of people on rlfans prefer Boris over him. But of course, those 2 people on an insignificant forum know more than the rest of the country.
The next election will be hilarious. I reckon Labour may even struggle to finish second!

| Boris' problem is he is led by his manhood - eventually that catches up with you.
His current lady will cause his demise - how can anyone justify >£2m on a refurb of a flat - Boris has no cash so where did the money come from? If a friend gave him the cash all OK if it was a donation then it needs declaring.
The issue around the second lockdown is all about protecting one of Carie's mates - she is trouble - must be very good at something - same goes for Meghan
Cummins is no fool - under estimate him at your peril - now you can see why Johnson tried to protect him!!

I agree
Cunnings will know every single one of Boris' little secrets and as such, as far as Bojo is concerned, is a very dangerous man.
Makes great news print though and it could be the beginning of the end for the current PM.

Again, I agree.
Apart from his cabinet, everyone else seems rather embarrassed by the actions of the PM.
He's tried the Trump style of, deny, deny, deny but, despite the absolute bias of the press, there is so much smoke around this particular political "fire" that he looks likely to be engulfed. Let's hope so.

I agree - he has been embarrassing as the PM, very lucky the vaccination roll out has gone so well - the Tories are the most ruthless party going - he cannot last.

I do feel that Harry has escaped the Royal Family more than being excluded from it. A gilded cage is still a cage, with little to look forward to for the second born. Even Charles has hung about his whole life, basically just waiting for a silly metal hat. It’ll be tough for Harry, he’ll inevitably be somewhat institutionalised, and it is a long, long shadow. But at least he’s got more of a shot at a real life now - more so than Andrew or Margaret managed, for example.

The thing about Cummings is that he is very clever in some particular ways, and a bit of a div in others. In the same way an Olympic gold medalist weightlifter is a great athlete but you wouldn’t back them in the marathon. Cummings vs Johnson is an interesting clash of styles for a political knife fight.

I doubt we will have a monarchy after Charles - Harry could have easily got a proper job and lived a reasonably normal life away from the royal duties. Sadly in-breeding put paid to that.
Cummings seems to be a great strategist - he understands how to win not what to do after - he seems almost autistic?
If he has all his ducks in a row then he could damage Boris - not fatally - but it will sow the seeds of his demise.
