Happy New Year to you all!

Fresh year, fresh start!

Time for business....

We are going to change how we work for 2010 and change how we meet to discuss league matters.

The first league meeting will be held on Saturday 27th February 2010, the reason for a Saturday is that the meetings we usually have in the evenings can be difficult to get to as well as they can run on for a long time. This new style meeting will involve the following:

• A League Meeting
• New Posts within the League
• RFL Festival
o The festival will involve EVERYONE who attends being mixed together for some games run by Tom Allen.

The date has been chosen with the hope that our friends from London and Wales can attend too.

There is still a small matter of venue... this is where you guys come in. We need a couple of pitches for at least 2 x 7-a-side games, we need a room for enough of the teams to attend but more like a conference than a board room and we need food! The food cost will be split amongst the attendees.

The second change is that this year’s meeting is open to anyone! All I need to know is WHO and WHAT CLUB. The reason for the open invite is that throughout the difficult 2009 season, members of different came forth with a variety of talents that can help the league from the website to league tables to organising HUGE festivals.

I will announce the venue towards end of January.
