| Hemel travel down to Skolars on sunday to take on London Skolars'A' in a game that could see Hemel take the North London Cup.
I caught up with Troy and he had this to say:
We are looking on building on last week's effort. Beating or local rival St Albans give all the lads plenty of satisfaction however we know we still have alot of work to do before our first competition game against Huddersfield in a couple of weeks time. The Skolars game will give us an opportunity to try some new combinations out and continue to work on our team cohesion with so many new faces joining this season. We will give debuts to former Coventry Bears players in hooker Alex Brown and second rower Tom Watts as well as new aussie recruits halback Brendan Williams, prop Dean Campbell and centre Chris Pomfrett. They are all quality players that will add quality and experience to our squad.
Skolars will be a decent outfit and most of the players will be looking to impress to get an opportunity in their first team. They will also have several experienced first teamers that can no longer play NL2 due to visa restriction so I am expecting a tough game. We have addressed certain areas we need to improve on and if we manage that we should be the winners of the North London Cup.
