Charlie is so happy the season is now underway , though i have kept in touch with a few Leythers , as i run the LISA Poker Nights for the club .

I dont think i will ever recover from the Play-off defeats , but i applaud you either way

Im not sure about this, ive not seen what kind of squad Leigh have cobbled together following bankruptcy. But still a big name and always a threat. I honestly have not idea about this one....

I think Leigh could go really well this season

In fairness, no he isn't! Although it's not exactly rocket science to jump on a bus to Manchester/Wigan/Bolton or even get a local train from Atherton. Was a good crowd of us on the train up to Barrow last season from all of the jewels of the North West!

If the club ran a bus from Atherton on game days on would boost your crowds.

It's been looked in to but the bus service that runs past Atherton station to Leigh is every 8 minutes Monday-Saturday and even then I think every 15 minutes on a Sunday so the service is already there really.

Of course he can't. Only individuals can go bankrupt. Companies can't.

Either way, we went through financial difficulties but the company in existence now is still the same one as previously.

Its just that after the play-off game there was lots of press of impending doom and appealing to the heavens for help. Now theres a squad full of good players and everything looks rosy.

Thats full credit to the fundraisers on a job very well done.

We do have a good squad but that is because us and Swinton are the only two Championship clubs west of the Pennines.

Regarding our survival' in the main it is down to the club borrowing money from the rfl and cutting down on costs not least wages for players and the fact that we have a small squad.

Fans have helped too of course.

For me Sheff and Leigh will be very close game wise this season , imlooking forward to a good game on Sunday .

For the financial difficulties Leigh had, the "begging buckets" for want of a better term that were out in the close season internationals (England and England Knights) that is one hell of a squad they've compiled.

I just hope that, for the supporter's sake, the new model is more sustainable than the old one.
