At half time i was a bit worried we didn't turn our pressure into more points in that first half but it all turned out well in the end

Well played Sheffield....1st half, were we (Leigh) under the cosh, so to speak ?
What was the 2nd half like, did we deserve a bonus point ?
Looking forward to the Fev v Sheffield game on Premier, although it will have no impact on us, 3rd, 4th or even 5th for Leythers.

1st half especially the first 20 mins i would say you was under the cosh, alot of sides would have found themselves 20+ down at HT. Credit to leighs defense we couldn't break it down with repeated sets on your line which is why i thought we may have wasted some good pressure/field position in that first half, The longer that half went on the more Leigh came into it IMO.

The second half got a bit more scrappy but i thought we kept the better composure, not so much pressure on your line but enough to win the game Leigh were well worthy of a bonus point i thought you played well but come up against an Eagles side that turned it on tonight, i need to watch back the second half to have a better opinion (the beer was in full flow and still is!)

Pretty much agree with Duckzilla. You probably were good for a bonus point but were lucky in a sense as Dom missed two relatively simple penalty goals which would've ultimately put it out of reach.

For me we saw another example of why the bonus point is a crap rule tonight. A team losing by 14 points with 2 mins left shoots for goal at a penalty. Nothing against Leigh, I'd expect any team to do the same given the system is as it is, but to me that's just not rugby. Making sure you only lose by a certain amount. I guess that's a discussion for another time though!

Good to hear your not drowning your sorrows as theres no need, theres something very special this year at sheffield (except your win in the NRC final) I really have to pinch myself at times and fingers crossed it continues.

Well done on the win tonight eagles, I couldn't make it but at 12-0 down I feared a bit of a hiding especially with our two best forwards out, we made a game of it it seems and no doubt we'll meet again in the play offs, we won't be far away that's for sure.

as a leigh fan, you lot only seem to praise players like Yere and QLT when they score tries. QLT had an outstanding game maybe best on the pitch. We looked good at times and with our full strength team we have a lot to look forward to. Enjoy the win. Hope to see you in the grand final!

I thought you lot did quite a good job on QLT to be fair, can only remember him breaking the line once. I thought he had a decent game but I've seen him play better. Maybe we're just spoilt!

A good game tonight run at a high pace & I thought we was worthy of our bonus point with our performance. For you I thought Szostak had a good game he's a strong lad reminds me of our Hopkins a bit & Yere was a beast tonight. The signs lead to a exciting playoff run for us both I can't wait

I'd say your spoilt. We didn't handle him well at all. He made at least three line breaks, was excellent under the highball and make a cracking tackle to save a certain try from us. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Leigh jersey but we can't complain,although McNally fills that position very well. Must be hard to please you lot☺

It was Taulapapa who made the tackle mate. Q was good under the high ball which is something of a relief as he's been a bit suspect in the last couple of weeks. Ridyard tested him early with a couple of bombs which he dealt with brilliantly.

100% positive it was QLT. I know which play your referring to with Taulapa but it was defintely QLT that saved the try under the posts.

There were a lot of penalties, weren't there ? - 28 in all. Could be a sign both teams were pushing things to the edge.

Excellent performance, the only disappointing thing about the evening was the attendance (just over 1000) did we choose to play the game on a Friday Night ? if so why ? if we played it on Sunday Afternoon i would guess that we would get another 200 fans through the turnstiles more Leigh fans would be able to attend and people who were working Friday night could attend as well

I would have been there had it been a Sunday as would quite a number of the guys I know regularly get to away matches.

Unfortunately to get to Sheffield for a 7.30 kick off on a Fri evening in August would have meant me leaving Liverpool by 5 and I had no chance!

Last night was a poor game in my opinion , we missed certain players , I know you had a couple missing , but I think with 2 fully fit teams on another day , it will be different , no doubt last night the seagulls deserved their win , why you went for goal with the 2 penalties is beyond me , Tubbs must have been worried
