| So, the Northern Rails are done and we've won the lot. Now for the real business.
I've been really impressed with our half-backs so far, especially Brambani. I wasn't sure how they'd work together but it's as if they've been playing together for 15 years, and Brown has made the subtle changes from scrum half to stand off brilliantly. Dom seems to have added a couple more tries to his game since his last spell with us, and also an extra dimension which I can't quite put my finger on, he seems sharper, more intelligent, just a better all round player.
The other main revelation for me has been Nev Morrison. This lad has potential. Looks like an absolute try machine, excellent finisher and blessed with pace and strength. I think he could be in for a big season.
Menzie looked like he was back to his old self last night, a typical Menzie try, some hard yards and a couple of trademark hits.
Hendo seems to have carried on where he left off last season and all the forwards seem right up for it, thought Alex Rowe made a big impact coming off the bench in his first game back last night.
I think this could be a very good season for us, I still think Fev will win it and probably quite comfortably, but other than that, I don't see a team, and more importantly a squad, better equipped than ourselves.
Up the Eagles.

| Must admit wasn't overly convinced by the Bramabani signing at first,As i thought he was okay in his 1st spell,But he has certainly improved a lot since leaving the Eagles and looks a much better allround player and very dangerous,Could be one off the better players in the championship, really impressed.

| Repeating what E.S.O said I think the signs are good.Brambani and Morrison have been excellent this season and I think Sam Scott is really starting to develop.
Especially with Bergin, Dane, Knowles, Smith etc all still out we have much greater strength in depth this year. These early games I really wish we'd give Eddie and Corey a chance though, Corey was great last year and being a Sheffield lad as well he deserves his chance..
I was saying Menzie had been a little quiet so far as well but then 2 minutes later he scored that brilliant try!
I am a pessimist though and it is still very early in the season and no disrespect to Workington, Doncaster and York but these are teams we should be beating anyway and the win against Leigh, well, I still don't know how we won that!
With Swinton and Hunslet next up I think we can stretch our unbeaten run to 6 games which would be great.
The signs are promising but it's still early doors, lets not get ahead of ourselves, we just need people coming through the doors now and hopefully with the things the club are doing at the moment and the way the team is playing attendances will hopefully increase.

| Good assessments! We are doing well but have to consider the opposition we have met but it's the first season for a long time that there has been confidence in what's on the bench let alone the depth of the rest of the team. Menzies try last night was the best I have seen him score and I think that came from the confidence he had in the team around him. If this is not our best season since arising from the ashes I shall be very surprise and a bit disappointed!
