Scott Dureau has been appointed "elite pathways coach" at the Newcastle Knights - which basically means he works with a small group of under 16s, 18s and 20s juniors.
I had the pleasure of watching Scott put them through their drills earlier this year, and he has it down to a fine art. he basically has the left and right playmakers working with the centres and wingers. The playmakers put in every type of kick and the wingers and centres take turns defending and attacking and practice things like batting the ball back, taking high balls, running onto grubbers etc etc. It doesn't sound like anything special, but they have it all down to a fine art. Scott has 16 year olds doing every trick in the book.

I thought that on most of his appearances he added considerable value to the team and I shall miss him. However his persistent and multifarious injuries combined with his colourful reputation meant that he was in effect sacked. I cannot see him doing any better at Salford since it looks as if no one else would have him and he will not find it easy to get fit for super league

Kevin Larroyer has moved from KR to a trial with FC, crossing the Hull divide.

That appears to be FC having him train with them while he finds himself another club. Hope he gets sorted out

Carney's visa has come through. Koukash tweeting that it "helps to have friends in high places". Is he suggesting rules have been bent?
