Carlos Zalduendo interviewed in today's Midi-Olympique. He confirms they're running a team in the French Elite next season. Says that participating in the championship is really helping with the structure of the club and that they're aiming for SL entry in 2015, when he hopes the competition will expand to 16 clubs. Hasn't heard from the RFL whether or not they're going to be in the championship next year. If they're not, then Plan B is to become Champion of France and use that as the stepping stone to Superleague.

Lescure also confirmed as taking part in the elite next year, playing some games at Lescure and the bigger games in Albi, taking the name of Albigeois Minotaurs. Think that means an 11 team league, not quite sure where that leaves the magic weekends?

Champions of France eh? They'd need a big investment in squad and coach to beat Pia and Feux-ce-le.

Yup. And a 3 week turnaround between the end of the championship and the start of the French league is probably not ideal preparation.
