| I agree that Blackbrook are a very strong outfit in my defence I did say that ON THEIR DAY widnes would beat most and I know that Rochdale's seconds have been struggling as the firsts are rightly taking the priority.
I respect every team in this division and the teams that are putting two teams out week in week out are where I hope Chester will be in a few years!

| After playing both Blackbrook and Widnes west bank in consecutive weeks I must say i don't the Bank are anywhere near Blackbrook. After leading 22-6 against West Bank last week we went on the throw the game and ended up drawing 22-22. Blackbrook on the hand we almost impossible to break down defensively. After we took the lead against them I thought they would crack, but they battled on and got 2 tries just before half time making it 8-4 then the second half was all one traffic.
We have some strong teams this year for me Blackbrook, widnes west bank and Us (Folly Lane) will be the top 3. With teams like Chester and Accrintong all being competitive. So far its been a lot better than last years comp. Long may it continue

| We have played both and Blackbrook at home were 6-10 until we had a lad sinbinned and they they went on to win 22-6 in the last 15 minutes. I agree that Widnes aren't quite as strong and our game against them was won in the final couple of minutes with a pass so far forward it was a joke! We had chances to equalise through a couple of penalties however we wanted the win and ended up losing 34-32!
I think Ashton could be in the top 3 they have made a cracking start to the season, I am hoping that we (Chester) can start to put a run of wins together I am gutted that we don't play Rochdale and Folly Lane until the final month, bad planning by the league!

| Chester 18 - 0 Little Hulton
Got a call at just after 1:30 to say Little Hulton couldn't raise a team so a walk over for Chester.
Had 32 players available for today so had arranged a second game to play before the league game.
Chester 20 - 14 Spring View
A great close game of Rugby League that ebbed both ways throughout the match and thanks to Anita and the Spring View lads for travelling when their ground was declared unfit last night. Thankfully it allowed me to field at least a few lads who haven't really been tried before and the Chester team had to dig deep to gain the win.
Very pleased man tonight!

Mickpip - Most definately if the numbers continue here in Chester then we will be looking for a fair few games as yesterday I had 30 lads available hence why we wanted the second game and that was with 6 or so away injured.
It was a great run for us and I think soem of the lads who haven't played for us before really appreciated the run out it was good for us to be able to do that without it counting to the league!
Hopefully see you in a few weeks!

| Fitton Hill 3 - 20 Folly Lane
Well to say I was surprised at how good Fitton were is an understatement, really don't know how they got 90 put past them last week. Defiantly the most physical team we've come up against so far and In a mud bath both teams slugged it out up the middle. Fitton being 3-0 up at half time, then finally running out of steam and Folly scoring 20 unanswered points in the second half.
Think we could have scored a few more on a better pitch, but full credit to them, the hardest game of the season so far.

| Ashton Bears A 20-38 Leigh East A.
Always going to be a struggle with 4 centres in the pack and ultimately Leigh put us away with some good rugby. They fully deserved the victory in a game we were never really going to win. Looking at their 1st and 2nd team results Leigh look like they're back on track and I'm sure they will go well this season. Hopefully we'll have a full set to choose from for this weeks game away at Chester, last week was the 1st time this season we've had a full strength 20 to pick from. Still, we're a new side still finding our feet and looking forward to the rest of the games.

| Accrington Panthers v Blackbrook A - Blackbrook all the way, no one will beat them this season IMO
Ashton Bears A v Chester - Very tough one to call I'm going for home advantage though
Blackpool Scorpions A v Halton Simms Cross A - If Simmies travel with a full set they should beat Blackpool.
Folly Lane A v Leigh East A - we always seem to have tough games against east, but we've been playing well on the whole this year. Folly win.
Irlam Hornets A v Widnes West Bank A - West bank easy
Little Hulton v Culcheth - Culcheth have had some good results so I can see them seeing Little Hulton off without much problem
Rochdale Cobras A v Fitton Hill - If Cobras turn up they will win, but if Fitton play like they did against us they will win tough call, but im going for home advantage. Fitton seems a tough place to go so I'd go for them if they were at home.

| With review to Blackbrook, the first team games are coming thick and fast with national and challenge cup and they have picked up a few injuries in the past few weeks and we have a different team everyweek so dont put to much pressure on us,but i must admit im enjoying playing in this division theres some good teams out there who will come good.

| Can't see how your enjoying div 6 personally, yeah you win every week, but no ones really threatened you on the whole. Why did you drop down from div 3 where you played last year??

| We had to fold the 2nd team at the start of last season as we couldnt get a team when we lost half the 1st team to Thatto Heath which crippled the 2nds and we were struggling the season before that for a team in division 2 as alot have retired. We are basically a brand new team as the 1st and 2nd team have had a big influx of players I dont think the nwc think we would get a team this season so they put us in division 6.
I personally like this division as quite a few of us cant train due to work, familys and coaching kids and im not getting any younger so its just about a game and a pint on a saturday for me,but on another note our game last week against Folly Lane was just as hard as a division 2 game and when i played in this division 8 years ago is was very much pub rugby and getting your head knocked off week in week out, fair play to every team ive played they all seem like a good bunch of lads.
As of yesterdays game we were phoning round trying to get a team as we had 8 players missing so there will be weeks when we are struggling like all other teams are.

| It is really tough for teams at the min especially those with A teams aswell, I agree with you when you say for a lot of the blokes its about a game and a pint without the pressures of higher division rugby......dont get me wrong you want to win every game, but as long you get a team and get a game thats good for a lot of people.
As for Blackbrook A being in the wrong division, I think this is wrong, the only difference between Brook and a lot of the other teams is there organisation on the pitch, people dont realise that if you have a couple of lads organising the plays then this is half the battle, they proved against us that if you can organise the play and are well drilled and disciplined then you enhance your chances of winning two fold.....dont get me wrong I am not taking anything away from Brook cos IMO they are the best team in Div 6 by some way, I am not going to tarnish the Brook lads by saying we had men out or banned or the first team took them cos you can only beat whats put in front of you and they did that convincingly 44-22 I think it was, but we did score 18 of our points in the 2nd half, which against a team like Blackbrook is not good enough.
I wish Blackbrook good luck for the rest of season and all the other teams aswell of course......we will just have to keep plugging away to fulfil fixtures.

| Ta pal,I missed the game against you but the lads said it was the toughest game of the season.
Rugbys a strange game, a year ago we couldnt get 25 lads for both teams and then a year later you have 40 ,so then lads dont get a game leave, the week after your back struggling again its a vicious circle especailly when you have strong 1st teams playing for cups and come after xmas your 1st lose ladsback to the pro clubs so all the hard work the 2nd team have done goes to pot as 1st take the lads back.
With a view of what your saying about players organising your spot on,our stand off can play once/twice a month and when he does play we are a different team.
