Saddleworth coach said yesterday that their problem earlier in the season was that allot of the 2nd team players were playin for the first team because the first team were struggling, and the firsts are top of NCL 1 so take what yuo will from that.

They are definately not a bottom 3 side and would go as far to say that they are a top 5 side, I think WB & Woolston will have the beating of them tbh. They had a couple coming of the bench who I thought were by far and away there best players. there 14 & 15 went into there back row and changed the game in my opinion, there 13 is a big strong running lads aswell.

Not takin anything away from them, but we went up there well undercooked we picked allot of knocks up v WB last week, one one broke his wrist, I was struggling most of the game yesterday with a knock, we had 3 U'18s on the bench, who were great, one of the young lads even bagged himself a try. There were other contributing factors imo which I won't bother putting on here, but lets just say at one stage the game was 11 v 11, we had 2 binned and 1 sent off.

But fair play to Saddleworth, I think they will knock a few more off over there before the seasons out.

well you cant say fairer than that. well said cowies. after your recent form now (last 2 games) can you really see yourselves getting one over on woolston. i think you lot are settling for next season in the 3rd division and tbh you deserve to be higher you are not too far behind us as woolston u have just had a few bad games and if you play the way you did against us at your place you will win all the time it was a good game. we are now really expecting woolston to win at SV and hope dalton can do us a favour, but if not 2nd is still a good achievment and look forward to div 2 rugby. Allot depends on the 17 that we have available for next saturday....I think we should have another 4-5 players available next week....Whatever comes or goes Woolston V SV are always decent games (ones I've been involved in away)....and anything can happen. Its always nice to get one over on the top sides and Im sure we will be going all out now to finish the season on a high and finish in the top 4. Chin up fella's!

Good game with hindpool yesterday, like shawy said if they can sort out a decent attack, they will suprise a few teams, they work very hard and just ran out of steam which opened up gaps for us. We played better after getting a player sent off.

well its a big one this weekend woolston travelling to spring view who are in a bit of a rutt at the moment 2 straight defeats, one bruising defeat against us and a crushing blow at saddleworth. obviously i want spring view to win but the rutt there in puts me having to say woolston will beat them, it will be a tough game but woolston confidence will get them through it.

i agree regarding Moss Bank we played them at the end of last year and were up for it and agrressive when there backs where against the wall and there was a bit of agrression theyh didnt like that at all. So like you say thewy must be tarts lol. Good too see the promoted teams going well

Looking really doubtful at the min,went up to the pitch yesterday and it was very heavy(as u will know WB) groundsman said if we have any more rain the pitches will be closed.........its currently pi$$in down in Wigan at the moment

to be honest we new monday saddleworth 1st had no game so we have built this game up to be a away game at SV so we will be up four it 2 lads missing due to work but we have got quality players to fill in the gaps so still expecting a win but going to be a tough game. Will moss bank play tomorrow up at ulverston or is this a division to far for moss bank pugs.

Just spoke to a lad from Ulverston and Moss Bank have forfeited saying they cant get a side. Pity we had to play them twice in the first half of the season.

well pull my chain another 18-0 against moss bank. i beleive moss bank can only concede one more before they are chucked out of the league, if someone can confirm that. will they try and get a way with it by playing a home game next week.

if you ask me its a easy way out of the big games they have under 18s that could step up (SV took 18s up saddleworth i beleive) it annoys me when 2/3 weeks ago they were title contenders then all of a sudden they cant be bothered. is it a case of boys not evolving into men, or cowards cant be bothered travelling.
