Very strange refereeing performance maybe he felt he had to prove himself after just becoming a super league touch judge but how there were 8 dismissals (4 each) in a game that was played tough but fair i don't know, there was some games in NWC that wouldn't have any players on the field if he took that stance every game, mind you he was p***** off that he had to travel from Wigan to do the game, a fact that he told me at least three times,lol,

Both games yesterday will count towards Merit League - we only arranged the Salford game at 8.30pm on Friday night after Ellesmere Port pulled out of their planned game with Salford.

Close game throughout, a good physical hit out for both teams. Bury were ahead at half time but let rochdale back in only to snatch it at the death. Thought we were the better team overall, despite the usual rochdale fijian contingent doing their bit. Good to get the win, our new squad beginning to click though some silly errors nearly killed us.

Cobras 1sts (or should I say Fiji A / Sale Sharks A) beat Cadishead something like 88-6 on the adjoining pitch.
