Very tough game for you men coley, they like to have a battle in the forwards, should be a cracking game, good luck. They do have a big pitch and it is quite a good pitch too.

Jaydubya latchford are stronger I don't think they will get battered, and us vs the pats will be a tough game especially since the at home and we nilled them at our place so the will want to put in a performance.

We played Bank Quay in a preseason friendly and got hammered but weve got alot of different players and more importantly we've got a completely different attitude now! I believe your new number 7 is s great player (just hope he's signed on correctly )

Yeah mate it should be a good game like they have been the last few times we have played you men, our number 7 is a really good player and is signed on don't worry about that lol, I will be hard to miss when we play i will be the lad on the crutches on the side line, broke me leg and fractured and dislocated me ankle in the lancs cup final, so I won't be playing again this season, (not that am needed), lol.
You seem to of got over your poor form at the start and have done well, I think we will be your only test in the league and you should finish 2nd at least.

Yeah we started off very poorly, think we'd played 4 lost 3 at the start of season, since then we've not lost a game though we're 13 without loss now.

Coley, How you got the nod over me i'll never know? Must have been the few games you played in the 2nd row and they got mixed up.

He ain't up until tonite, looking at 4 games I reckon. Weather the pats cause us problems we don't care we are setting up as if we are playing the likes of clock and bank quay, that way we will win most of are games by playing at our pace and by keeping are defense solid.

That's the best way, you don't need any slip ups this late in the season.

On a rugby league note, stop being silly........no direspect to the Div 2 as there are 12-13 members of the Widnes squad playing in this division, for either the Bears or the Maries, but you cant seriously believe you could put a team together that could beat either Widnes or Warrington town teams?

All well and good Simms x but I remember something very similar being saud when St Maries dropped out of the conference regarding them not getting beat and winning division two etc and we all know what happened there!
Obviously it's a higher level but it's surprising how much lads raise their game to play a big match/team. How many times have we seen amateur sides beat beat pro sides in the challenge cup for instance.

In all honesty I hadn't seen the Widnes team just the Warrington one; so meant more a team in our division that would beat that!

Paul the selection process for the warrington town team was done by 3 coaches and then i had the final say. We went and watched woolston as i did with latchford and no disrespect to any lads, is no where near as good as the lads selected, we watched hayes, mellor, and cole and only cole was as good if not better than lads i have picked. As for picking a division 2 side to beat the warrington town dream on mate.u play full back and r are up against ryan fieldhouse who for me is the best no 1 in amateur, then there was hillman who is the top 3 for bqb player of the year and carl lloyd was unlucky to miss out. If there is any players u feel isnt good enough then i think u should speak out.

Even better still u put a team together as we are looking for a friendly and ill give u a 40 start just spoke to a few lads about who u was and was told if we had a 60 man squad u wouldnt of been in that neither

It's taken me this long to post a reply as i am still hurt, shocked, amazed at my admission from the Warrington side. Are you sure you were watching the right John when you came down??? I don't think i've had a bad game this season. I'd take a 40 head start and i wouldn't mind being considered for the 60 man squad either John. To be honest looking at the warrington side, I can't see were anyone else would fit in, it's a strong side, on the other hand I think pwils said that comment more in jest than to wind any one up. All I know is it's going to be a cracker of a game, that is helping raise money for 2 good charities, and I look forward to sharing a beer with you woolston lads during the game, hopefully with the widnes lads cheering the victory lol.

Did u get a call up westbank, they have a strong squad and see a few have seen there faces due to not being included pal, having played against all the widnes teams this yr i did expect more west bank in and less simmies, only good for us thou

No mate am injured, doubt I would of got called up anyways, yeah there was a few SURPRISES but it don't matter how much people moan it ain't going to change what the selection is. I also expected more west bank lads in but they won't be that bothered they will all just look forward to widnes cup and they maybe summer rugby. It's WAYNE by the way of TiW.

Its all about opinions.... the coaches have picked one squad which they believe is the strongest, and somebody else may pick another. Dosent mean anybody is right or wrong......simply that rugby like all sports throws up many ideas and perspectives on who is "good" and deserves a spot and who dosent...... I have my own opinion on the squad, but that really dosent matter because i wasent picking it!
