| I didn't think it was MG I was just interested to see what your thoughts were and I totally agree with you. In fact everyone I spoke to holds the same view.
I heard that Folly Lane asked not to be promoted so in that case why couldn't West Bank take their place in the premier division. Not sure why a team would play all season to win their league then not want to step up

| I think WB are returning at the level they left at so I think that's probably right. Each division is 10 teams so maybe the league wanted it that way rather than have 2 divisions with odd numbers & one teams from each not playing each week. The email says the structure is proposed so isn't yet fixed, if you haven't already done so maybe Hindpool can appeal?
Good to see the likes of Cadishead, Newton, Leyland & Eccleston return. It'll be interesting to see how Garswood Stags get on as well, they've set up about a mile from us. Didn't know anything about them until the leagues were sent out.

| It should really be defined and stuck to the relegation/promotion 2 up 2 down then everyone knows where they stand. I think the league is still trying to find it's natural order since moving to summer hence allowing team in some circumstances move up or down.
I think there will be to many free weeks with only 10 teams but my understanding is that this could change to 12 following the management meeting last night.
The final structures along with fixtures should be out by next Friday so we shall soon know!!

| Seems an easy way to get West Bank in premier and Hindpool in division 1 whilst not having to punish anyone else to do it? Plus wonder if the all but collapse of the winter league has seen some late applications?

| Are you sure it's 4 and not 5 leagues of 12? As means 12 clubs have dropped out of draft lineups (possible I guess)

| Yes he meant 5 (Prem, 1-4) of 12 teams in each and an entry division as well made up of 15. 75 teams in total

| Final league structure just released to clubs. Few small changes
Portico drop to division 2, swapping with Wild Boars being the one which affect my club. Couple of others further down the leagues and 18 in the merit league

| In NWML 3, Accrington have disappeared, Chester down to 4, with Pilks A and Saddleworth A in.
Saddleworth A gave 7 of their last 10 games in div 3 away last season.
Pilks A also gave 7 of their last 10 games away in div 2.
Poor decision by NWML IMO.

| Having seen the leagues im wondering what is the point in finishing in the top 2 teams can pick and choose what league they want to go in, 4 have gone up from our league last year and irlam have come straight into div 1, teams work hard to get to where they are and you can just go where you want . div 1 looks a very strong league this year

Looks like Culcheth Eagles are bumped down to division 2 and Orrell St James to division 3 as well

| OSJ were originally in division 2 when the leagues 1st got published so can only assume they asked to be dropped back into division 3.

| Believe the Irlam vs Wild Boars game was abandoned on about 50 mins with Boars leading 12-4? Both teams saying a very aggressive game but no need to abandon it, but seems the ref saw it differently.

Thats correct mate, game was abandoned on 54 mins with us leading 12-4. The reason as to why it was abandoned, well pass. It was obvious that the ref didnt want to be there, he made that clear too. There was 3 sin binngs in the game, 1 was was being offside, another 2 holding down (After both teams recieved "Team Warnings" for similiar offences)
A few high tackles and hadbags/crossed words was as bad as it got. After a penatly was given around the 50min he called both teams together and the ref said the next time there is another incident he will call the game off after telling us this is the worst standard of rugby he has ever reffed. Both sets of lads was baffled by it, laughing between ourselves saying its only banter its ametuer rugby league it happens.
Few mins later after a push after the play the ball he blew up and walked off! few players went to approach him to try get him to carry on but it was clear he was off and was in the changing rooms by the time players shaked hands.
Anyway he made his mind up, and even though it was a very aggresive game none of that spilled to punches thrown and was pleased that even when he ended the game the ref was showed respect, and that was the same throughout the game obviously you get the generic "how's that a knock-on" etc. but that was as far as it went. If we go off that game on Sat 60% of games would be called off.
The ref came into both sets of changing rooms after game, there was banter thrown about him walking off and we all laughed it off and he was happy to inform us he should of been reffing York instead of being stuck with us anyway.
I take it the game will be replayed now, or will they make the return fixture a 4 pointer? anyone have any ideas what will happen.

| Surprised by that. We have had that ref in the past and he has been 1st class. There has to be a female to blame
